Crysis: Not eligable to view or download this video due to ESRB guidelines

I am getting this error when trying to watch the crysis video review.

I am a gamespot complete member, my birthday is setup in my preferences. i did not get prompted for a birthday, it just goes straight to that error.

if i log out i can view the video, it prompts me for my birthday...

what's up with that? anyone else seeing this problem?

I did. Went to my preferences, put in my birthdate... GS completely ignored what I entered and put some completely different date in which makes me 6 years older... wouldn't let me edit it again... but now it works... I don't know, something messed up. there.

free subscription :D anyways I had the same problem.

It's because you're under 17. In your account, GS knows your birthday and therefore knows you are under 17; since you're under 17, you can't watch videos for Crysis, which is M-rated (pretty stupid rule). Once you log out, GS has no way of knowing your age, so it prompts you for your age, and at that point you can enter your real birthday and get rejected, or enter a fake birthday and watch the video.

Knowing this, it's pretty obvious why GS won't let you change your birthday in your account.
