First off...let me tell you how much I hate compromising gfx. When ever I start playing a new game I buy for PC...I set it to max settings to see it in all its glory. Most of the time, my PC has no problem running the darn thing. Crysis is another story. I set it too high and it runs perfectly..but a little later it gets choppy. The game itself gets choppy, but my system never lags up...like whhen I pause it...it does not take forever to load the screen. The physics never lag either...odly. Here are my specs: Intel Pentium D @ 2.8 GHz, 8800 GT, 2 gigs ram. Im running the game at 1024x768 all settings HIGH.

Are you using the 1.2 patch? Have you noticed issues since patching, or always? The 1.2 patch causes a lot of stuttering issues for a lot of people - it's a sound error. Google it for more info.

Or, what version of your graphics driver are you using? I did a clean install of windows a couple days ago and put Forceware 163.75 on, and (as well as breaking System Shock 2 entirely) it caused terrible stuttering in Crysis - actual stuttering, the frame rate itself was fine.

I downgraded to the 169.21 version of the driver, and everything started working nicely.
