Call of Duty 4 Modern warfare is what I would get because it has less requirements than Crysis. The guys at Infinity Ward also have a great record of making great games, which include Call of Duty 1 andCall of Duty 2 (and that all as far as I know). The people who made Crysis also made Far Cry and that game was pathetic and pure crap. Call of Duty 4 has a great Single player and Multiplayer from what I have heard. If you can only get one, get COD4.
Theyre both extremely good shooters, they look great, have awesome gameplay, and are set up well for both single player and multiplayer.
It really comes down to how good your pc is. If youre packing a good dual core processor, 2gb of ram, and at least an 8800gts/gt, then you will be fine with crysis, and i reccomend getting it. If you're a fair bit under that, CoD4 will not let you down. If you're close to that... well, go with what you think will be good. But you will not be dissapointed, either way.
For me, I definitely choose CoD4..coz de system requirement is less power than crysis. Although de crysis is a great game, i still not considering to buy it.
I have played the demo for crysis and that games seems really well done...I have also played SP for cod 4 and it is by far the best SP that has come out for FPS in a long time, just awesome!!!! The MP is great as well and has some nice perks...
Get Crysis...if you can. I've heard it takes a lot of money to get the hardware to run this game, but if you have it it's incredible. COD4 is cool multiplayer...you ain't really missing out on too much. Both awsome games though.
Crysis is a great single player campaign and so is COD4. Crysis takes a beast of a PC to run though. COD4 Does not. COD 4 overtakes it in MP. I think you will be satisified with either game.

Crysis gets really boring after your done looking at the graphics.the combat is pretty bland and having to shoot stuff 50 times for it to die gets old as hell.the campaign was boring and the multiplayer is borked, all the servers have 400 something ping for me and i cant play.CoD4 however, has alot less bugs, great single player, and WAY better multiplayer.
You would be making a mistake that would change you're view on shooters if you didn't get Crysis, because fps' are now either PRE Crysis or POST Crysis, it's changed the history of gaming and for you to completely miss this one would be like just missing an epic game in history like super mario or half life, because Crysis has changed the world of gaming.
And plus cod4 is just cod1 and 2 with different skins.
