Crysis Performance

I only get about 15 FPS on crysis on high with the res at 1280x1024 with these specs

Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0ghz

EVGA 8800GT 512MB

2GB DDR2 800MHZ RAM

OCZ StealthPower 600w PSU

I've updated the drivers but with no performance boost.Is this normal?

Well lets see if he is playing with AA on or if he is on the last part of the game.

Do you have AA on? And by jungle levels are you refering to the start of the game?

Thats not normal, you should be hitting the 20's or even 30s!

Patch it
defrag hard drive
do you have any viruses/trojans on your comp?
exit all background programs
update your 8800 drivers

Definitely not normal.
-Defrag your hard drive
-Disable unnecessary Windows services (guide)
-Run a registry cleaner

You should be getting an average of 35 fps with the benchmark tool.

That's better, but not nearly at its full potential yet.

That's about right, then.

I think he should be getting more than 26 fps. They (Anandtech) used DX10 and had the shaders at very high, and I don't think the CPU they used is a big advantage over his E8400.
