Is there any performance difference when playing on Vista Home Premium 64bit and on Windows XP?

Sorry if this goes in Computer Games section but it just seems like it fits better on this forum.

Only vista can play Very High settings.... SO....

Ill re-phrase the question for him:

Is there any difference, performance wise, between Crysis on Vista running HIGH settings and XP running HIGH settings?

Well there is a sligthly boost of fps on XP, is not a huge difference but still is valuable for most of the people that doesn't have the highest-end CPU and GPU.

You do know that theres a patch so you can play very high settings direct 9 on xp with almost the same exact quality as vista very high (direct 10) but way better frames ?

There is quite a performance difference between Vista and XP. I'd say XP runs games about 10-15% faster. Also, Very High is possible on XP, all you have to do is edit there config files for Crysis. There is virtually no difference in visuals, but a huge increase in performance by using very high in xp rather than vista.
