I have a 22" generic widescreen that can display 1680 x 1050 or whatever it is. When i select that resolution and then click fullscreen there is a black line on the right of the screen and a smaller line across the bottom, when i say line i mean like a big black box thing. I tried the other resolution and they either make it too big or 1440 x 900 i think it is cuts off a tiny bit but i'd rather have it at full screen at the full resolution anyone know of this problem, world in conflict works perfectly in the resolution.

Cheers

i do

1680x1050 Shadows, Post Processing, Water set to medium. everything else on high

e6600 @ 2.4

8800GT

2gig RAM

Vista

I am very happy, i really thought i was going to have to scale it back alot more to keep it playable. Sometimes being wrong rocks.

Yeah mines basically the same setup as the guy above me and i use them settings, so do you know what the problem is? My monitor is set at 75hz if that means anything. Is it that i need to remove my drivers and reinstall the new one, i've got the latest one?

I play Crysis at 1680 x 1050 with about 25fps (15 in the alien ship level but I hate that level anyways), with everything on Very High with no AA. I'm using an 8800Ultra, 4GB RAM and Q6600.

do me a favor, with the black bars on the screen hit ALT+Enter and see if that doesnt push it to cover your whole monitor.

Maybe a dumb question, but have you tried hitting Alt + enter to switch between full screen and windowed modes?
