I'm sick andtired of waiting!
There is no Very High for DX9. Low, medium, and high are both DX9 and DX10, but Very High is DX10 only.Manly-manly-man
I hope they'll have advanced graphics settings too. Cos i don't know about you but i love tinkering with all the settings to get the game running just right. WiC is a good example, that's got every setting imaginable.

[QUOTE="adam0926"]if that is true I should get medium settings on my PC. and high settings when I get my 2900XTdomke13
On your 19" screen you should easily max it out whit 2900XT on XP. Vista could be other story though...

well they did say dx10 will run better then dx9Sky_Raptor
Wow, I can't wait for the demo to see a game where dx10 beats dx9. Its probably EA propaganda.

Its not. Microsoft stated that DX10 API is around 6 times faster then DX9 API, so if Crysis is really true DX10 game it should run faster by quiet a lot FPS at same settings as DX9. It could possibly even run whit better FPS and even better graphics for what DX10 API was designed.
also i heard a rumor that we the ones who dont own 8800 gtx or 2900 xt wont be playing dx10 even dough we own dx10 cards is this true please guys help me out becasue it wont handle the fps?redcarpet
It will run it in Dx10, just not at an acceptable frame rate. But we'll have to wait and see.

Sorry, i thought you had a 8600. The 8800GTS will run Crysis fine but if you've got extra money to spend and you can take that 8800 back, i would get a 2900XT. You cpu upgrade depends on your motherboard and whether you want this upgrade to last the rest of the PC's life or not.
I dont know im confused you guys.
my proccesor is weak i just ran the call of duty 4 demo and wow looks amazing.I noticed it was kind of choppy also on bf2 its not noticeable it just goes on for about a second then its gone but im pretty sure i need a new cpu also unreal tournament 3 it has amazing graphics.

Well what motherboard do you have? Without that, i can't advise a new cpu. Oh and also what PSU (power supply unit) do you have?
