They're identical, but Warhead has more action so I'll vote Warhead.

If you're asking this question because you want to buy one, don't, get the Maximum edition, it should be extremely cheap.

Warhead was more focused, consistent, action-packed, and well paced. It virtually fixed all the problems the original campaign had. Everything just clicked together with Warhead's campaign. It more than made up for the denser levels, and at times tightly linear portions. If it were just a bit longer, it would be easily superior to the original game.

I agree, especially the first level, felt kinda small and linear and crysis, but in crysis warhead they made it bigger with less "pathing" and more dense jungle and a bigger land to explore overall. But in my opinion crysis had more epic compaign, in warhead it did not feel like you are making much of progress with a big bad ending boss and ending. Ofcourse that was because of the concept of the standalone expansion, but i have to admit at that part the crysis compaign felt better. I played warhead once and i was too bored to go back and give it another playthrough when i replied crysis a couple of times.

The first Crysis had better gameplay as it was more tactical, Warhead was quite arcadey.

Warhead does have better graphics and FPS though.

Crysis for me as I played it as a stealth game, warhead seemed more geared to just running in with your balls out so I played it like that.

Very very different. Warheads was *much* more consistent though, pity it lacked the incredible scope of Crysis's levels.

I have to go with Warhead for two reasons, firstly there is no "floaty" boring alien ship rubbish in Warhead and secondly I love the train level in Warhead.

The shooting felt better in warhead to me, in the orginal crysis up close shooting felt off for some reason. If crysis played just like warhead, I would prefer crysis. As it is warhead is the better game to me, suprised some one has not redone crysis by now with the mod from warhead, what is it the sykes mod or something?

Something tells me you gonna like crysis 2 even more, since it seems they lean towards that direction.

Warhead was batter, because it was more optimized than the original Crysis (at least Crytek says so).

not a fan for either game...Warhead has the advantage of being shorter, and Crysis is much bigger in scope, but with certain quite underwhelming levels (the floating area? the mini boss with no difficulty to speak of...)

IMO the GUNPLAY is better in Warhead due the new weapons (grenade launcher, mini-smg, claymore mines, EMP grenades...) the huge increase in the ammunition availability, the increase in the number of enemies and the improved A.I. in the small aliens; is a game more focused and direct action oriented.

In terms of gameplay... well, hard to say: Crysis is longer, has more room to roam and better cutscenes, even if in Warhead Psycho is a more emotional dude.

To be honest i never used the new weapons, and i think warhead levels 100% have more room to roam around, the airfield level for one.

Crysis had much more scope than Warhead, with plenty of alternate options (Although it tends to favour a particular path). However, I think Warhead makes much better use of the different suit skills than Crysis, making Speed and Strength more worthwhile/necessary.

If Crysis had the characterisation and tight plot of Warhead, it would be fantastic - complementing the scope and variety of Crysis nicely.

Roll on the sequel, eh?

Warhead is more linear and has more action. I prefer more action over being less linear.

Crysis is longer, and plays out better IMO.

For action, go with Warhead. For longtivity go with Crysis.

both games have a good gameplay though warhead is a bit short and the disappearing of their weapons during cut scenes seems anoying
