Crysis Warhead forces 800 x 600 on my 720p TV

I've connected my PC to my HD TV via a HDMI cable. When I play it on my PC monitor I can play it onmax resolution (1400 x 900), but when I connect my HDTV to my PC and run it, it forces me into a 800 x 600 resolution (which obviously looks pretty balls). It gives me the option for 1280 x 720, but when I click that res and apply changes it doesn't keep.

Does anyone know how I can get around this?

TV is a Samsung 720p (2006) 32"

PC is :

Core 2 Duo E5200 @ 2.5 GHz

3GB RAM

Radeon 5700 1024 MB

Windows 7

Yup. I'd change the resolution from inside Warhead.

Strange thing though. I also gamed on a 19" 1440x900 monitor. Whenever I hooked up my PC to a 32" 720p HDTV, Windows 7 and all my games auto-adjusted to 1280x768. I never had to adjust anything. But going back to the monitor, I had to resize everything up to 1440x900.

Monitor may not be DHCP compliant, or you were maybe not using a digital connection to your monitor?

Your TV's resolution is probably 1360x768, not 1280x720.

I tried changing the res in game and it max's at 1270 x 720, but when I change it to that and click Apply, it says its applied changes but goes back to 800 x 600.

I will try the console commands. Can I console command it to do the 13xx X 7xx res?
