My guess is that its after Pshco "drops" that girl you rescue at Crysis LV 2, but im not really sure. Could someone explain me where does the start of Warhead is comapred to Crysis? Tahnks you.

The movie at the start does show when in the Crysis timeline Warhead starts. Did you see the ship being blown up? That happened during the Assault mission. Shortly after Assault, Nomad ran into Psycho at the tanks/VTOLs, and Psycho left in a VTOL which was shot down in the opening scene.

Warhead starts just after Assault and ends just before Nomad reaches the Constitution.

Thanks, I get that now. I can remember the mission where you blow up the boat and all, I dont remember much of the encounter of Nomand with Pshcyo but I do remember that Nomand stayed and didnt go on the VTOL for some reason. Im surrprised that only after 3-2 days I forgot some parts of Crysis.

Anwyay, I finshed Warhead. Its a great game, but I dont see a real reason for why pepole saying its better then Crysis, I think its the same (only Warhead is awy to short). The story is a bit confusing to tell the truth everything advences very fast and the "Ice age" heppend fast as well. There were also those black screen scens where youh eard them speak about something and the "four years erlier" thing.

Im confused to put this simply. Maybe anther go thru Crysis and Warhead will fix thet...

I see but still veven without that start thing its still confusing whats going on there. For expmle, I was thinking that Nomand killed that genral, but he didnt? And the genral had a suit in Crysis why dont he have one on Warhead? And that guy thats get killed on the brdige, hes just a random guy? Beacuse it looked like Pshcyo really was sad about that but it wasnt ONeel or soemthing (however he is called). I dont know its jsut so wierd, and confusing |:

Different guy. At the beginning of level 2 in Warhead - I think it's level 2, anyway - there is a hut with a radio in it, and on the radio is a news report and I think it mentions the slaying of the general that Nomad kills in Crysis.

And that guy thats get killed on the brdige, hes just a random guy? Beacuse it looked like Pshcyo really was sad about that but it wasnt ONeel or soemthing (however he is called). I dont know its jsut so wierd, and confusing |:NsNsis

It's definitely not O'Neil since he's the guy who airlifts you out at the end. It's just some random guy. Psycho may or may not have known him personally, but something we learn about Psycho thoughout the game is that for all his bravado, he's a sensitive soul.

Psycho probably also blames himself, at least in part, as he could have saved the soldier's life but instead tried to complete his mission by blowing the bridge, so his grief would in part be fueled by guilt.

Thanks for those answers. I think im begining to realise most of Warhead story even thu im not sure what heppens on the same time on the other side (Crysis) but its not something I have to know so, its ok now.

Im pretty sure ill have a second go with Warhead. The ending was very un-epic by the way, I expectd for something more.

Something that confuses me about that is that Warhead starts during the night... Which means it's two days after the start of Crysis. But nighttime never came a second time during Crysis until the aircraft carrier. Does this mean that a full day really did go by while Nomad was captured by the general and in the core (which would mean the events of Crysis take place over three days and not two like I had originally thought)? And does it mean Warhead begins while Nomad is with the general / in the core?

I dont no why but I have a strong feeling that Crytek didnt have much time to work out Warhead story. It should be more Synchronized with wahts going on with Nomand. The game gives you some clues about that, but I think it should have been much clearer.

The "story" like in most games, is just an excuse to put the player in different situations. You guys are reading much too far into it.

BAH screw the graphics i want story unlike gears of war the only thing i give credit in crysis the blickbuster feel i dont want excuses to shoot things i want excuses not to or to go around or to have rell ballistics and am fine with that i dont care about graphs a great story is what i am gonna remeber the game no matter the genre or the graphics, all the rest can be defeated by outher factors better graphs and psysics ai all can be defeated in the future but story...

Hey guys remember on the frozen warship of warhead when ur just about to go down and pursue colonel lee u can hear your leader prophet say he's freezing to death. Is it just a radio transmission and u actually cannot meet prophet at all????????

Its weird that u just hear him for a while and not hear nomad on the radio and then leave him and just go after lee again.

Anyway another thing about wearing that suit is they can kill you if they feel like it. Your boss that is. Try wondering away from the mission area like swimming too far away a timer will start to countdown and if u do not make it in time your life will drain away until you die.

ALso remember how prophet vapourizes the dead members from team raptor so that the enemy won't find them???

It's only reading too far into it if whatever you deduce isn't fully plausible.

Well, here is what we know for certain:

1. Warhead starts after Assault (we see the ship in Assault blow up in the introductory cutscene and Psycho says Prophet is MIA during Shore Leave (Warhead level 3). Prophet goes MIA at the start of Relic, the level immediately before Assault.

2. A radio announcement during Shore Leave indicates that General Kyong is dead. Assuming this isn't propaganda, which I think is a fair assumption (since the obvious reason to include the radio broadcast in the first place is to help people understand how the two games synchronise), Warhead level 3 takes place before or during Core, but certainly not after.

3. It is night when Warhead starts.

4. There are no night sections between Assault and Pradise Los

I think this means you are right and there was a night section during Core that we didn't know about, possibly because of the lost time while Nomad was unconscious or possibly because the perception of time alters in the alien environment.

Either that or Crytek simply made a silly mistake.

deadly_snake

Yes, it's just a radio transmission. It's to establish to anyone who previously played Crysis at what point in the timeline they are at by that point.

Anyway another thing about wearing that suit is they can kill you if they feel like it. Your boss that is. Try wondering away from the mission area like swimming too far away a timer will start to countdown and if u do not make it in time your life will drain away until you die.

deadly_snake

That's a game mechanic to make sure you go toward the boundaries of the maps.

ALso remember how prophet vapourizes the dead members from team raptor so that the enemy won't find them???

deadly_snake

Yes, to make sure the nanosuit technology doesn't fall into the enemy's hands.

It dosent actually make any sense destroying the suits with the body, they can use the suit for someone else, and give the dead person a decend burriel, its not like the dead pepole are off reach for them |:

And I actually missed those radio things. I saw some but never realised its actually ment to give you some story info. Maybey in the second time ill pay attention to them if ill play it again.

No, that would require that they extract the suit from the location somehow, which they have no way of doing while on a covert operation. And in pretty much any case when a special operative dies in enemy territory, they're not going to retrieve the body to give them a burial.

Vaporizing the suit is the only way they can absolutely ensure the enemy does not steal the technology from it, which is what comes first and foremost.

The threat of the enemy having the suit isn't that they can use it, but that they can reproduce the nanosuit technology by analyzing it and use that technology for themselves. Figuring out the proper usage of the suit and designing training sessions accordingly would be the easy part after that.

judging on how retired the koreans with nanosuits where in crysis and didnt use speed to dodge shots(infact unlike soldier koreans they barelly move) or cloak to go ninja or me or stregth id say they simply use shield even when they switch in another mode, well id say like gs walktrouth said kpa got nanosuits but dont have smart soldiers to use them!

cost of a f22 raptor 138 million and they blow up about 10 in each dogfight, and i doubt the kpa will be able to make suits that fast without a factory!

The 'four years earlier' thing was a tape of O'neill causing a code blue incident (person dies) and then going nuts. O'neill was Nomad before this I think, either that or he lost his chance to join team Raptor. I thought it was a pretty interesting backstory.

I think he means he thinks he's who would have been the operative in the delta team called Nomad. I doubt they're given standard codenames, though. They probably get to name themselves or have their codenames picked based on their own names (Sykes -> Psycho).
