[QUOTE="fatshodan"] The movie at the start does show when in the Crysis timeline Warhead starts. Did you see the ship being blown up? That happened during the Assault mission. Shortly after Assault, Nomad ran into Psycho at the tanks/VTOLs, and Psycho left in a VTOL which was shot down in the opening scene.
Warhead starts just after Assault and ends just before Nomad reaches the Constitution.

Something that confuses me about that is that Warhead starts during the night... Which means it's two days after the start of Crysis. But nighttime never came a second time during Crysis until the aircraft carrier. Does this mean that a full day really did go by while Nomad was captured by the general and in the core (which would mean the events of Crysis take place over three days and not two like I had originally thought)? And does it mean Warhead begins while Nomad is with the general / in the core?
Well, here is what we know for certain:
1. Warhead starts after Assault (we see the ship in Assault blow up in the introductory cutscene and Psycho says Prophet is MIA during Shore Leave (Warhead level 3). Prophet goes MIA at the start of Relic, the level immediately before Assault.
2. A radio announcement during Shore Leave indicates that General Kyong is dead. Assuming this isn't propaganda, which I think is a fair assumption (since the obvious reason to include the radio broadcast in the first place is to help people understand how the two games synchronise), Warhead level 3 takes place before or during Core, but certainly not after.
3. It is night when Warhead starts.
4. There are no night sections between Assault and Pradise Los
I think this means you are right and there was a night section during Core that we didn't know about, possibly because of the lost time while Nomad was unconscious or possibly because the perception of time alters in the alien environment.
Either that or Crytek simply made a silly mistake.
