I bought Crysis: Maximum edition and installed Crysis Wars. When i try to play it asks for a CD key. Yet my box only came with 2 manuals. One for Crysis and Crysis Warhead. i tried both codes on the back of their manuals and neither one works. any help?

If you bought the game used you might have been scammed and someone is using the cd key. I have Crysis Warhead and it only comes with 1 cd key. You don't need a cd key to install Crysis Warhead but you do for Crysis Wars (multiplayer).

Gamestop does some pretty shady business I hear. I bought a 360 controller from them so I could play racing games better on my pc. The guy says they only have 1 left that is used so I take it. The guy had a smirk on his face that pissed me off when he sold it to me. I get home and the thing is 100% broken.

I take it back and the guy has a co worker with him this time. I tell the new guy what happend and he opens a droor full of 360 controllers. The guy who sold me the controller has a scared look on his face at this point because I'm very getting angry.

I usually avoid doing business with them.

That sucks. I hope you can work something out, but they will probably pull the whole "we can't return a pc game because you might have written down the cd key to steal it."

Considering Crysis Wars is the MP for Warhead, enter in the Warhead CD key and see if that works.

It's worth a shot. A receipt would usually suffice in any other situation, but like the aforementioned. Retailers don't replace pc games because of the possibility of a stolen cd key. The only kind of 'replacement' they'd be willing to give you is exchanging your 'broken' disk for another disk.

I don't see why not if you just go back, explain a manual was missing, and show them the receipt. After all, you just want the code, not like you're returning it to get your money back.

I didn't buy the Maximum Edition, but if you mean Crysis Warhead, I bought mine from WalMart and it contained the manual(cd key on the back), Crysis Warhead disk(singleplayer), and Crysis Wars(mulitplayer).

I own Crysis Warhead(It came with Crysis Wars) and it only came with a single key. My key works with Crysis Wars, so should yours.

First of all, Crysis Wars does NOT have a manual, it's just a multiplayer component not a new game, second, you install it with your Warhead key, so make sure that you're typing it right, if you can install Warhead, you can install Wars too, if not the they key isn't good.

Really don't ever, EVER buy anything from Gamestop. Not only are they 100% console centric and generally don't give a crap about PC games except WoW, The Sims and Counter Strike - but often their "new" games are in fact used. Always demand a game that is still sealed.

Everyone! The box came with everything i needed. After submitting the Crysis Warhead CD key a second time after changing keys it allowed me through into multiplayer. So it IS the key on Warhead's manual...all is well and thanks everyone

I have the exact same problem. I bought Crysis Maximum Ed. from Gamestop (EB Games in Canada). I was asked for my CD Key when I tried to play for the first time, but when I looked in my shoebox full of PC game manuals that contain all of my games' respective CD Keys, I could not find the Crysis Wars CD Key. I will try the Crysis Warhead CD Key. Hope this works! Thanks for the great thread.

What was up with that Gamestop employee acting so "scared?" Not like you could do anything to him, most Gamestop locations have more security cameras than a bank.

I know this is an older post but I just bought my 2nd copy on 7/25/2011 of the game brand new and I found yet again no CD key for Crysis wars.

So I came looking here for a possible solution, but while looking I a may have found a solution to share.

Long story short...

My first new copy I bought at Fry's electronics and not gamestop, and I thought{ just like another fellow here} I somehow lost the pamphlet that had the CD key.

Turns out There is no CD key other than the one with Crysis warhead! If your having problems playing it. I suggest trying what I did.

I am guessing you need to have warhead installed and patched with 1.1 before you try to install the Crysis wars. Then patch Crysis wars with the "Crysis Warhead-Crysis wars patch 2" {thats the real name of the patch} and also Crysis wars patch 1.5. Enter your Crysis Warhead CD key when asked to do so,and it should work, or at leastit did for me.

If that doesnt work and you still need a CD key for Crysis Wars and you can verify some simple info with EA games.

They will give you a new key to activate Crysis wars! How do I know this you may ask? They gave me one after I told them my dilemma since they are aware of this issue.

EA TECH SUPPORT 1-650-628-4322

I guess now I can sell my first copy since I finally have a fully functional Crysis Maximum Edition game.
