Anyone still enjoying CS:S after the latestupdate? The one that added achievements, and everything else that pissed the community off lol.

Community was really not upset. You had just the vocal ones ranting. In the end, gameplay is the same, achievements are taking the place of HLstats (something thats been big in pub servers for years now). The big advantages since the update is that frames per second has significantly improved only if players took the time to check forums on threading. Right now, I use to get 80-130 fps but with both my cores working correctly, my fps has jumped to 160-290 constantly in 44 player servers. This makes getting registration way easier. I say this because before, if grenades or smoke were going of close to many players and you shot at them, shots would not reg as they would in essence lag because there fps would drop alot. Registry in the normal sense is the same. AK still does 102 in 1 if you aim at head and shoot one to two bullets at a time. M4 still does 82 in 1 or 120 in 1 if extremely close. Most of the complaints have dropped off as all the custom maps such as surf, gun games etc were updated to work and servers also having 100 tick rates. Thats just me though.
So I see they tricked you into believing that they were the majority. I enjoy it, there are no real flaws with the game, if you don't like the achievements, boo f'ing hoo, cry more, or don't pay attention to em, right?Anyone still enjoying CS:S after the latestupdate? the bots in that game were awsome!
im fine with he updates
Everything is fine, plus I like that it looks a bit better. Thank god you can turn off that noob fortress killcam thing though otherwise I would be angry as well.
Actually come to think of it, I hate it that they took out the CS name feature... so now you have to use your Steam name.
Lol, is a killcam really that big a deal?w4rrior17Yes, people like being able to camp/ not know how or why they died. They are strange people, but people nonetheless (or so I've heard!)

They are strange people, but people nonetheless (or so I've heard!) 1. CS maps are too small not to know where the guy who killed you is camping anyway. 2. It's not like you're going to respawn and know where they are anyway, so it doesn't hurt anyone.

Yes because you need a picture of the person who killed you to work out if you were shot, naded or fell from too high. Please. Also regular spectate mode does a far better job of everything you mentioned.
It's cool in TF2 where you have all this random crap going on which can make for some pretty funny screens, but in CS 99% of the time it's a CT/T standing or crouching with their gun of choice... it's boring and pointless considering the alternative.
I've stopped playing it altogether as have my teammates. Hopefully Valve is working on a true sequel to the franchise. This update should be reversed like dynamic pricing. I'm not saying it was perfect before, but this update failed to improve anything.
I hate the new gun sounds, jesus they sound horrible. Para doesn't even sound like a gun anymore, it just sounds like someones trying to play really loud audio on exploding speakers.
