CS:S Banned, not VAC banned

Hi i was banned from cs source for spraying some gay **** i dint find it a big deal since it was just to mess around. Anyways when i try to connect to most servers it says Disconnected banned from steam servers. But i dint get VAC banned because i went on settings and checked my VAC statust and it says its good.But im banned not only for that server but from almost all. All the ones that you have to press f3. What can i do to get unbanned? Is this only like a one day ban or what? Thanks

Well I am afraid you are screwed. You should not be playing with hacks. Those people that were killing you ARE better than you. I am CAL-I and CEVO-P in CS: Source and there is quite alot of competition on some of those pubs out there and I know it is tough to compete with some of those guys. You have basically ruined your hopes of playing CS: Source online. The only thing you can do now is buy another copy. It is NEVER worth hacking. Just spend about a month playing a couple hours a day and you can hang with most of the pub scrubs out there. There is always going to be someone out there that is going to own you from time to time. Hell even I get that occasionally.

Why the hell would you like to see some gay stuff when playing??! It's like a swat guy breaks into my room and put a night goggle on my and pull the pin of a flashbang!

I would ban you for good man if you sprayed some gay stuff in my server... punk!

There are three types of ways to be banned through online STEAM games...

1.) VAC banned = you can't connect to any VAC protected server ever again using that STEAM account. It is effectively game over for you as STEAM/Valve will not unban any accounts ever. This will mean you have to create a new account and rebuy all the games you want to play online.

2.) Steam Bans list is a community effort where all the servers that have signed up to it share their banned players list so other servers can add the STEAM ID of these banned players to their own list of banned players. It's basically a way to make sure those people who have avoided a VAC ban are blocked from playing on as many servers a possible. Usually its for hackers who haven't been picked up by VAC and it is possible to appeal the ban however your chances are small.

3.) Temporary bans are usually issued for periods of time ranging from 24 hours to a week or more. However this is usually only for the one server which banned you.

From what you've said about not being able to play on most servers yet your VAC status is in good standing i think you've been added to the Steam Bans list. I suggest you google their website and see if your STEAM ID appears on the banned players list and if it does then look around for how to appeal the ban.

There's many Steam Ban Lists. Check which one you got banned on. (check which one is on the server)

Well people get added to the list for multiple reasons not just hacks. People get added to the list all the time for sprays that contain gay sex, dead bodies, child porn and various other eyes sores. You deserve it and I hope you will learn your lesson.

Well CAL is an amatuer online gaming league. There are different tiers that you can play in depending on your skill level. CAL-O is where everyone starts out. There is IM (Intermediate), M (Main), and then I (Invite). Once you are in Main you are generally pretty darn good. Invite is there for a select few that are moved up in order to keep Main balanced. Invite is pretty much the top tier players in any game. CEVO is pretty much the same as CAL except there is money involved and a cash pot to win. CEVO-P is Professional. Some of them are involved with The CGS and they play CS: Source on DirectTV. They earn salaries that are in the high 5 figure low 6 figures. When I played CEVO-P I did it simply for the extra competition. The CGS guys do it for a living. Honestly though I don't think anything I have ever done with TRU, EZ5, or ZEX is anything phenominal really. It was just good fun.

Do you know a Brian by chance? Known the guy for years.. he was CAL for MOHAA I'm a former member of )[eVo]( (Team Evolution) lead by Wildcard (Scott Tran). This was back in 2002.. and Team Evolution eventually closed its doors.. (I bailed a month or so before) My nick was )[eVo]( Capt. Paz Dunno if you remember me, or if you played back then.. :)

If you were on TWL or some other league.. I used to hang out on the TIC servers as well as TsL..

I read it. I didn't believe him. I have never seen anyone get STEAM banned for something like that.

I played CS: Source. I don't recognize that nick I am afraid. I played CS and CS: Source for so long it amazes me sometimes when I look back on it. Technically I should be so much better than I actually am. I played it literally since the end of the first beta for CS. Beta 1 only lasted for a few days and Gooseman already had beta 2 coming. I downloaded beta 1, but beta 2 literally came out the next day. I played CAL since its early days. I also played a little bit of TWL and I helped setup the smaller league called RiD (Rumble in the Desert). MadExponent
