I've been playing Counter-Strike: Source since it was released, and I've seen my fair share of speedhackers, aimbotter, wallhackers, etc.

Fortunately, a server with any competent admin will deal swiftly with speed hackers and aimbotters. Unfortunately, in the case of wallhacking, detecting a "waller" isn't always so black and white.

How can you know for certain that someone is wallhacking or just Godlike? I normally give people the benefit of the doubt, but when I'm constantly getting sniped or headshotted the millisecond I turn a corner, it's hard not to think wallhacker. Am I just being paranoid, or is wallhacking becoming more and more of a problem for the CS:S community?

Go into spectator mode and watch them. If they open fire and one bullet hits the wall before he even sees the opponent there is a good chance. You can easily tell by watching spectator mode for awhile.

A good waller is undetectable, its that simple. Playing CS:S now-a-days is just self-torture.

I get this crap all the time....'You are hacking!!! OMFGBBQSaUCE!'

I usually tend to open fire before moving towards the open. Once you know the map...you just know some CT/T is going to be around the corner, its a fact. Its just a thing I do, even in UT 3...I mean..so much bullet flying everywhere you would be crazy not to prefire.

There is no way to confirm if someone is wallhacking. It's pretty much impossible unless you put the hacks on yourself and watch people's reactions when you snoop around. It sucks that Source game's customization is so open that cheaters can even exploit it.

It gets old for me when people insist that others are hacking just because they either a. had them beat around a corner/door/window etc, or b. just got plain lucky.....although I guess that comes with playing CS:S.

There's no way to tell for certain, but consider that a top player likely won't be playing in some random low-skill game. If you just picked out some server and the average skill level seems fairly low, and some guy shows up and spends the next half hour handing everybody their ass, you might get suspicious.

Your best bet is to get with a clan or group of people you know and play together with often. Servers with diligent admins are also good ones to look out for.

Not really a specific way to catch them. Like the people said above "good wall hackers are impossible to catch." The only way you'd find out is if you actually behind them watching them play. >_>

The best way to tell they are actually walling, is not if you see the player peek certain spots, or wait. If they peek certain spots they clearly check corners because they play a lot. I know when i go into pubs i rip kids becuase i was a tournament player. So i was accused a fair amount. The second thing is sound, so kids have really good sound and pay attention to sound a lot. Most of the time wallers will peek exactly where you are and pre-fire a lot of corners.

If I know there is someone around a corner I'll start a burts right at the corner and "cut the pie" on around. Someone might call that walling if they were in specator and didn't know what to look for.

BUT, if you see someone constantly pointing at someone through a wall,..mostlikely they are hacking to the gills.

Jump in first person spec mode and see how they use those crosshairs.
