Set your updaterates and cmdrate at 101 and ex_interp (I think its cl_interp in CSS at 0.01) you'll have way better hitboxes actually on the models. People just are ignorant about these commands and just assume the game is crappy. It's all about setting your rates correctly.DaRkDeMoN-
I'm not saying the game is crappy, but surely it should be coded like that to begin with?
It shouldnt really be the responsibility of the player to hunt down these commands and work it out for themself...
WTF are you doing playing with bots?bblundell
I played with bots to see just how off the hitboxes were

you're correct it is cl_interp for CS:S. default value is 0.04. i think its the time difference between firing a bullet and the bullet hitting.
why this does kind of fix it, the hitboxes are still crap. and some servers actually dont allow you to connect if you mess with the interp value, as it appears as an altered cfg file. they must think its a hack or something.

im not sure if zblock allows it, if it doesnt, it means its not legal for league play (cal at least), and by the way, its "reg", not rego.[QUOTE="gtarmanrob"][QUOTE="DaRkDeMoN-"]Set your updaterates and cmdrate at 101 and ex_interp (I think its cl_interp in CSS at 0.01) you'll have way better hitboxes actually on the models. Rego is crap on the net, but where it matters in a Lan tournament, rego is perfect on 100tick servers running at 600 fps.ElectricNZ
600fps????? lol you must be talking about cs 1.6. if anyone can hit 600fps in cs:s, well... im good with my hands ;) hahaha ah. im gonna cop a lot of **** for saying that
I'm talking about the server running at 600 fps... most high end servers run 600 fps easy for CSS.
In game my pc has reached 1300 fps avg on an aim map before... I get 200 fps avg on d2 :\

ah k fair enough. hey how did you manage a reading above 299?? fraps? coz when i enable net_graph to watch frames, it caps at 299 once it reaches that many..not sure if it stops there but i dont get a further reading
Before saying anything just know what you see and what is calculated aren't necessarily the same, so these videos with these offset hotboxes are kind of idiotic.Kev_Boy
Exactly. Everyone here who says that Hitboxes in CSS fail, need to load up a real LEAGUE config, load up a player FPS config, and talk to me after that. Oh, and dont forget to learn to shoot too.

Yea. This is such a dead topic anyways. CS:S has always had fine hitboxes and the videos aren't an accurate representation at all. People just love to jump on the CS hate bandwagon.
