Hey everyone. I'm currently looking for a great game with a solid multiplayer. You can suggest any other choices if you want. I'm mainly focusing on fear atm...with its great sp and mp.

Well I played CS:S and TF2 and I hear all these people talk about how L33T CS is compared to TF2 and I would like to say that is wrong, both takes skill but tf2 is about working with a team and trying to eliminate your team by taking control points or taking there suitcase(CTF) When I played CS:S I felt I was a one man army and it was every man for himself, but thats just my opinion.

FEAR online is pretty fun. Not sure about the single player since I really haven't played it. If you are focusing more on multiplayer, go for CS:S, that will keep you busy for years probably. Team Fortress 2 is really fun too, but that game isn't so much based on skill as CS:S is. Team Fortress is more of a team game. At first you will probably get owned in CS:S, but after a while you'll get good and you'll be the one owning.

yea i mean i played both css and tf2 before. Both were great games but i just felt bored with tf2 after awhile. What i find really fun in css is the skin addons, surf maps.

CSS takes more skill on your part and you'll get your ass handed to you a few times by screaming 13 year olds. Once you break the skill barrier though, it gets really fun

I'm too lazy to write my own essay on this (seeing that I've already done so a million times). So I'll quote this guy's statement.

TF2 isn't about having the l33test twitch, its just about fun with your teammates. That's why I like it. I've been drifting away from most FPS games a lot in the past few years.

With money being a object get TF2 or CS:S.. Fear online is already free.. The other two are not.. The multiplayer is ok in FEAR, but the main draw is odviously the single player.

Hmm I would suggest either Counter Strike 1.6 (yeah it's old but many people still play it) or Counter Strike: Source

If you are looking for mostly multiplayer, you could always just download F.E.A.R. Combat, it's free.

I think Fear sucks and it runs like crap. But the multiplayer is free like that guy said.

I'd suggest TF2 with CS:S not far behind.

Get the premium pack that comes with all 3 games for only 29.99$

If you dont get the premium pack the 3 games cost 60$ all together.

I would get TF2 at first because it is more simplistic, class/team based, and a lot of fun that will have you laughing sometimes. But eventually get CSS(or 1.6 if you want to), it is the best MP FPS ever created imo.

CS:S or TF2. Which of those you pick comes down to personal preference.

If you like being in a multiplayer one vs all, then go with CS, if you like playing in a group to win TF2.

FEAR MP is free. So that one you can download and try and then see if you like it or not. Just make sure you do not download the MP demo.

If you are looking to buy then get TF2. It has alot more variety and the different classes are great. It's also alot easier to get into than CSS.

Uh, Have you ever scrimmed in CSS? Because you're totally wrong. Scrimming with a team in Counter Strike requires Teamwork or you'll lose. Although If you mostly play in Public servers you won't see alot of teamwork.
