CSS was one of the first fps's i played on PC in like 2007. Took me about a year of on and off playing. The key is to stop when you're shooting at long distances. Always aim for the head. Fire in bursts or single. If you spray make sure you aim an inch down, bullets tend to shoot higher than where the crosshair is when your spraying. One you get your reflexes down you'll be good
CSS actually takes a lot of skill to play. Some of the players on there are just so amazing. You have to practice a lot too get good in that game and it takes a good amount of time too.
I'll just leave this here.

I have the same problem. I've been playing for years and still suck. For me it's not the good players. There are some crap players around. I just HATE HATE the recoil in the game. Add that with the fact that the crosshair doesn't shrink/expand much to show you how inaccurate your gun will be and the fact that you can't aim using ironsights, and it's nearly impossible to control where the bullets go after the first 3 shots.TheBigBadGRIMHate is such a strong word. But recoil is recoil and you need to learn how to deal with the recoil of each gun. I don't understand though, do you want more recoil or less recoil or something? Why do you hate it so much?
The crosshair does shrink and expand, just not a lot. I have my crosshair size at 5000 so you can't really see it expanding and shrinking anyway. But you don't need it, you can tell by the way your gun moves and where the bullets hit as to how where the bullets will be going.
Ironsights? Who gives a **** about iron sights? You have a crosshair, you aim with that.
Of course it's hard to control where the bullets go after the first 3 shots if you're spraying.
The game takes a lot of practise but your arguments here are kind of ridiculous. The more I look at them the more it seems that you have become too accustomed to the Call of Duty series.
you died twice. noob :P Scroll thru all teh zillion pix :P[QUOTE="JigglyWiggly_"]

TIP to thebigbadgrim, once you start spraying, crouch spray. But when crouch spraying, or even standing spraying, you need to aim at their feet, bullets shoot up. Of course, don't try doing that if you're just moving in one direction. You need to strafe, as in if you need to move to shoot, you move like right then pause, shoot, move left, U GET THE IDEAZ. Of course don't aim at the feet while doing this, as your bullets will actually shoot where you want them to.Or alternatively, forget all that and just grab autoshotty, and bind mwheelup and mwheeldown to flashlight, and just annoy everyone. Works gr8.
Let me just tell you the secret to CSS... everything above is perfect but please... learn to walk and listen.. Half of CSS is a listening game. Hearing people change weapons, pick up nades, running(footsteps), touching objects which fall on the ground etc... Once you learn that, learn maps where you play positions and couple it with aiming, CSS becomes fairly easy.. Sadly, once you learn all of this, many will start accusing you of Wallhacking.. Ask Jiggly. I found him on a server and within a hour, people were accusing me and him of wallhacking because we kept prefiring them in the head as we could hear them run around with their heads cut off LOL. jedikevin2
This is entirely true. It's honestly surprising how few people actually take the time to slow things down and listen to where their enemies are, especially when there's only a few people left on the map. People who listen to music while playing have a huge disadvantage.

If you need the crosshairs to show you what the recoil is you need more practice.

The CSS crosshair is only around to show you where the center of the screen is.
