I have Windows Vista on this computer, and I dont really like it. to play all of my Windows Xp games, I really want to install windows xp on here

Vista came with this hp I have, I own a copy of Windows Xp home, and I would like to know if I can install that on this computer, and still have windows vista

I will have to boot the cd from the boot menu, prob create a new partition, then would windows be successfully installed ?

Before I do it, please tell me if it will work, and there will not be any compatibility issues, and what about drivers?

thanks for all help

Yeah, you can dual boot with multiple OS's. Just put Windows XP on a seperate partition. The computer will prompt you when you boot to choose which os to run. I do that with windows 98 and xp.

You will need a new partition and I am fairly sure it will work. I have only installed on e os though but I am confident in my knowledge lozl. It was simple to install vista on my comp but gauging from how people say vista is the easiest (user friendly wise) to install, I would think that xp might be more difficult. w/ vista, it asks you during the install what partition you want it on, I did a clean install over my xp partition. I don't know if xp install will ask you where u want it but if you don't want to get rid of vista, you should create a new partition first.
