'Dark Souls: Prepare To Die Edition is incoming on PC, although the game's use of DRM security has led to an uproar among the PC gaming community.
NowGamer quizzed Dark Souls PC developer From Software about the decision at a recent Namco Bandai showcase event.
Publishing producerDaisuke Uchiyama exlained, "As for Games For Windows, that's the established server that we used for the Xbox 360 version of the game. So that is the main reason we chose Games For Windows again. The partnership is still on going and we might have another announcement in regards to the platform."
Game director Hidetaka Miyazaki explained the need to crack down on piracy, "We had the issue with the game selling in advance on consoles before the release date. We need to prevent that situation."
Miyazaki also explained that Dark Souls on PC is in fact, a straight port of the console version, "As for improvements to graphics and such, they are not planned at this point. A we said, this is a straight port of the console version."'
Pretty much like everyone thought. I really hope this isn't a shoddy port and the controls, multiplayer, and menus all work right.
