Make sure that the ingame anti-aliasing is turned off before you put the DSfix files in the folder. Other than that, it should work.

If you're happy playing without dsfix, just don't bother with it. Without dsfix, you're basically getting the game, looking exactly as it does on consoles. I'm assuming by your video card that you're on a laptop? You're not gonna get stellar performance with dsfix anyway. If you want to try using it, though, download it again, but run the game without it, go into the PC options menu, and make sure to turn off anti-aliasing, and set the resolution to your monitor's native res (even though it doesn't actually do anything, without dsfix). then apply dsfix, set THAT to your monitor's native res, and see what happens. It's a pretty simple program, so I'm not sure what else could be causing problems, besides the conflicting AA.
Edit: were you saying you're getting just a black screen now, even without dsfix? If that's the case, reinstall the game, then go turn off the AA and reapply dsfix.

Have you tried running it without DSFix?
I used revouninstaller to completely swipe my laptop clean of any forms of Dark Souls-files, but I'm still getting the problem. Dark Souls worked for me fine once, then I applied the dsfix (and probably forgot to turn off AA). After I found out it didn't work I uninstalled the game along with the dsfix files but when I bought the game yesterday and tried to play it the screen was still blackEdit: were you saying you're getting just a black screen now, even without dsfix? Maybe is something in the registry. Use CCleaner or delete it manually by running regedit.exe
Should I just delete all the Dark Souls files? And how exactly do I do this with regedit.exe? Sorry for all these trivial questions, I'm not a real expert on these thing as you may already have noticed. I could also just go ahead and delete system.32 just to be done with it all OHSNAPawalrus
Delete everything that is Dark Souls related through the search option for Windows 7 then install CCleaner and scan for registry issues. After that reinstall the game. I hope thas this solution will work for you.
