They're both around $20, so which one is better? Steam sale sucked today so I figured I'd just get one of these + KOTOR.

Dawn of Discovery is Anno right? Anno is an amazing game. You just play and play until you realized youve been playing for 10 hours. Its deep and enaging...highly recommend it.

Anno 1404 or Dawn of Discovery. Although Tropico 3 is much modern than Anno.

Went with Anno, I've been wanting to play it for quite some time now anyway.

I had the same problem. I bought Tropico because Dawn of Discovery has TAGES, although the activation limits are now gone.

Both are very underrated. Id give Dawn Of Discovery a 9/10 and Tropico a 8.5/10.

Both extremely fun games!

Two of the years better games imo

I bought Dawn of Discovery a week ago and since then it's the only game I've been able to play. I'm hooked. The game is complex but not in a daunting way whatsoever. I must emphasize that. If you start with the campaign you'll be eased into the game's basics as well as nuances very gently. I would highly recommend this game if you like city building games.

I have not played Tropico.

Yes, the steampowered forum users confirm that the activation limits have been removed.

I don't see anything in there about TAGES being removed from Steam versions of the game. The last few posters claim that it is still in fact present, even.

That's why I said activation limits, not TAGES.

The free mode is so much better. I thought the campaign was cool, but the game doesnt show its true capability until CONTINOUS mode. Its so addicting its not even funny :P

Once you get like 4 islands full up its a thing of beauty :P

Both games really pull me in and dont let go for hours haha.

Tropico3 has been ridicolous fun since i got it on steam the last while.

Im really glad I got Tropico3 and Torchlight!! Two games that I dont hear alot of people talking about but man am I enjoying them tons.
