dawn of war complete collection?

I'm thinking about getting this game, but there seems to be no widescreen in the original and winter assault which concerns me.

It's a big problem since 4:3 sucks on a widescreen monitor. Does the other expansions add widescreen to the first games?

I don't want to buy dow 2 cause it's much more expensive and I'm not sure how it will run.

DoW 1 and DoW winter assault are letterboxed and have a bugged minimap when playing on widescreen resolutions, it's practically unplayable. Dark Crusade and Soulstorm have stretched HUD but the game itself is WS. Dawn of War 2 is the only one with proper ws support. And if you're going to play them all, play them in order. I can't touch Dawn of War 1 after playing DoW 2, it's just much much better.404-not-found

I have no problems at all playing DoW 1 or any of the expansions on my widescreen @ 1680x1050 resolution, nor do I have any issues with the mini-map being bugged.

Yes, I have all the up to date patches installed. that's probably why I'm not having any issues...but never really had any problems with the screen resolution or mini-map with any of these games since they were released. But for those that are experiencing issues, the patches are a big help.
