I was going to get Civilization IV The Complete Edition on Steam (Civ IV, Warlords, Beyond the Sword, and Colonization) but then Dawn of War II got a 50 percent off thing. Which one should I get (They are both 20 dollars)?

DAWN OF WAR II.
Best RTS I've ever played...Although...If you're more into base building than action it's probably not the game for you.

Get both if you can. :P
If you had to choose one get Civ 4. Its the King of Turn Based Strategy.ice144
Gal Civ 2 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Civ 4
Pure lies. Stop living in the past.
And Civ 4>Dawn of War 2 IMO.
Stop living in the past? LOL
Gal Civ 2 w/ expansions >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Civ 4 w/ expansions
Most people just say Civ 4 because that is the only one that have played or actually spent some time with.

I know how to play perfectly fine o.O It isn't exactly a deep game after all.[QUOTE="ag3ntz3rox0x"][QUOTE="kieranb2000"]Civ 4 definitely. DoW2 was mediocre at best.kieranb2000

It takes very little skill from what I've played, but then again, maybe everyone who plays online is just terrible :| Starcraft, Supreme Commander and Age of Empires (1,2&3) all require much more skill.[QUOTE="ag3ntz3rox0x"][QUOTE="kieranb2000"]Civ 4 definitely. I know how to play perfectly fine o.O It isn't exactly a deep game after all. Mediocre, I'd have to contest that. And NOT DEEP? Someone doesn't know their 40k lore.I don't think that when he meant that the game was not deep he was talking about the lore. Anyways while I have not played the game for some time at the start it did not appear to have as large of a skill component as say starcraft nor did it have as good of a strategy component as Supreme Commander.

LMAO are you honestly arguing that Dawn of War 2 is somehow a better game if you play it a certain way? That's kinda pretentious. He thought the game was mediocre, not difficult or easy. I thought DOW2 had a been there done that feel, but then again I think alot of games are like that. I guess I must not know how to play them properly, because if I did i'd obviously have a much more enjoyable experience. Anyways, in this case there really isn't any competition in regards to dollar value. For 20 dollars you get the entire Civ IV lineup, which bought individually at stores today would easily be near $100, plus the amount of hours you could get out of it all could literally be in three digits if you enjoy strategy games. If your one to prefer action games, then by all means get DOW2.[QUOTE="kieranb2000"][QUOTE="ag3ntz3rox0x"]I know how to play perfectly fine o.O It isn't exactly a deep game after all. I admit I don't know much 40K lore, but I was talking about the gameplay side of things, the plot seemed pretty deep from what I have played, although I didn't play much single player, mostly just the multiplayer XDwrong, you just dont know how to play

Civ 4 will give you more bang for your buck by far. Not saying Dawn of War 2 isn't good, however. DoW 2 is really fun in online multiplayer and the people are pretty nice. You'll get more mileage out of Civ 4 imo though. Of course, the real question is do you want a fast paced RTS, or a slow paced TBS?zomglolcatsYeah, the two games are kind of hard to compare :P If you can get both, get Dawn of War while it's cheap, and get Civ4 later (as it won't be getting any more expensive.)
