Last time I played, during the last free weekend, there were a ton of people playing. However, that may have been due to the fact that it was a free weekend.
While it is not as popular as CS:S it still has a large community. I personally perfer it over CS:S by far. I play it a lot and almost never have a problem finding a good server.
the day of defeat source community is fine ... i highly suggest you to buy that game, it is so thrilling !! and it's not that easy to because very good (like me :P) so you'll always have challenge
and for not wondering if people are playing that game enough, find yourself a popular server with stuff like friendly fire on/off, stats or not ... and keep going on this server, it's a good way to enjoy the game even more because you start by knowing the same peopleÂ

Those bastards making us pay for this mod.. It was EXACTLY EXACTLY The same before (and awesome), and now we have to pay like.. So much money! Here, let me check steam how much it is.. 20 dollars! For EXACTLY the same game! The graphics don't look that different.. Bastards.. I hope they payed the modmaker a massive amount of money if they're going to be making this much money off the exact same thing in the source engine and crap :p
