I'm always subscribed. I might not play it much for a few days but I'll get right back on the next.. im currently waiting for the account managment to start working on the site so i can redownload it cause when i dowload the patch i get an error :( O well.
I quit back November when WotLK came out. I had my fun clearing BT and Sunwell, but I was playing the game way too much. The amount of time I put into raiding was greater than a part time job.
Never missed the game, quit cold turkey, I have a strong willpower to not get addicted to something. Or up and quit on the spot if I do. I stick to the basics nowadays and they're good. CS:S, TF2, L4D. I plan on joining the army when I turn 18 in July and I needed to quit WoW sometime.
I resubscribed when Lich King came out, got to 80 and with my friend sharing my account with me, we got almost all the best raiding gear for tanks (forgot which tier), earned the title of "Salty", and got the second best tanking sword in the game. But now I'm done with it again.

epic, but not epic enough for me to come back and gather welfare epics. I miss Bwl, AQ, Naxx when it was actually hard. Hell id even go to molten core with 40 ppl to gather 2 epics off each boss. Whats wraths epic drop rate? Well this generic dragon here drops 6 t10 helms as well as 3 legendary swords as well as a minimum of 14 random epics. (10 man) Same generic dragon 25 t10.5 helms 25 t10.5 chest peices, 25 t10.5 goves, 25 t10.5 pants, 25 2h axes/swords/staves, 20 wands, as well as 100 random epics. (all gear has 1300 gem slots as well as the bosses having patterns for all crafters to add another 1000 gem slots) 25 MAN HEROIC. /fAcepalm

Yeah. It was actually epic to see people with top gear in preBC. Now, it's just meh.

Tier 8.5 is the best tier. Or "Valorous" tier 8.
Topic: How come everyone I ask to link their character's armory page, they've logged in just a day or two ago? Not in this thread, but on other threads and comments for videos and news on this website.
Cracks me up. Either that, or they say they've quit, I check their armory again like a week or so later, they're back in the game.
Bit of an off topic, I never heard anyone say WoW is awesome. Serisouly, everyone complains, yet there are 10 million subscribers...this is something I don't get it.
That and the 11 million subs blizzard and other sources claim are all false. WoW doesn't have that many players, its all a joke and the game isn't popular. It's also not won any awards for anything either, and all the review scores it received were paid for by Blizzard. It's just another generic MMO.
You do know that banned accounts / frozen accounts / botters / people with multiple accounts are included in their numbers it`s not "active" subscribers it how many accounts have been created from start

according to blizzard, it is number active subscribers and i would believe them over you
i resubscribed, but not due to the patch, my friend started playing again last weekend and was begging me to come back on, so i thought id re-activate my account just for him, anyway end up playing 1 day with him and he turns around and says hes not playing anymore.
Thats good money down the drain just to play 1 day.
Two words.. Star Wars! I played WoW for a month.. Enjoyed it.. Then I ran out of free time and gave up, made a new account 2 weeks ago and played for 10 days, enjoyed it more, but I'm doing the free trial for SWG and LOVING it!
I tried it and quickly realized this isn't the kind of game for me. Nothing will ever make me resubscribe unless they entirely changed it which won't happen.

That's because the people who love the game are too busy playing it to post. That, and I would assume that 9.8 million players of that 10 million don't bother to post on forums to begin with. Could you imagine what this forum would be like if 10 million WoW players posted here every day?

It's active accounts worldwide. They've already said this.
i resubscribe in the summer. for me summer time is when i have time to kill. and since my real life friends play it, it can be a blast. i have nothing better to do, and i feel playing wow is more enjoyable than sitting in a coffee house drinking overpriced coffee and talking about movies. my subscription will end just before school starts and i will forget about wow
I quit when Wrath came out - the game is going to need some kind of massive gameplay overhaul before I even remotely consider resubscribing (not simply patching in more dull content to grind away at).
I'd buy just the multiplayer component of the game if there was no monthly subscription. CTF is hella fun, but I couldn't compete with people who made the game their life.
