How do I know if I have DDR2 or DDR ram? I tried to install new ram I pulled from a newer dell into my older dimension 2.40 and when I applied pressure only one side locked in correctly.

To find out the kind of RAM your Motherboard uses, check with the manufacturers website.

download cpu-z run it and check in the memory tab what kind of memory you have, to make sure the memory you're trying to install is compatible
