I'm about to swap my 4GB OCZ DDR2 667 for some 4GB OCZ DDR2 800. will I notice any difference or will I be wasting my money?f-a-d-3
Well not that much unless your an agressive overclocker.
What timings were the 667Mhz?
It all depends on that your going to do with your system. If your overclocking, you may find out that you have to lower your 800 to 667 speeds to get the CPU timings where you want them. At that point you wouldnt see any change other than from the quick weight loss program you put your wallet on.
Then again, you may find your current ram to be a limitation in overclocking and need better ram. At which point you will reap the benifits from the CPU, at the cost of your RAM. At least you would get some return on the investment. As far as a speed increase from just flat out swapping RAM goes, you simply wont see any real world changes. If the RAM is free or real cheap (say under $20) then sure, it never hurts to have better RAM. If you have to pay $100 or more (even with rebates) then consider other compnets that could use an upgrade. Maybe use it to start saving for a new box or rebuild. Just my two cents based on the fairly limited info you gave us.

I've seen 2GBs of ram rated @ 800Mhz 4-4-4-12 for 35$...
