DDR3 RAM On Newegg!!

Hi, i just want to know if DDR3 can be used on AM2 motherboards? or is this DDR3 ram just an early release? or what can use this RAM?

A few P35s can use DDR3 and AMD's upcoming RD790 can use DDR3.

I wouldnt mind a pair of those :D.

1 will do fine for now though :D. Downside = no GPU for about a week. So Imma have to buy a card just for CSS...lol. I think Imma buy another 7600gt and just keep it as a backup, incase I have any problems.

I would totally do SLI 8800Ultras. I think I am going to wait till theyre are a lot more Penryn SLI boards out, like DFI's crazy 2.5Ghz FSB board coming out. Rock the Gigabyte DS3 and if anyone needs a board on GS or other forums, Ill throw this their way :). I wouldnt even get a new LCD. I would rock SLI 8800Ultra @ 16x10 forever. Major future-proofing with Q6600 and 2x2gb DDR2-1000.

I think Im getting a bit ahead of myself, I have to also save for a trip to see my girlfriend up in Edmonton and lots of expensive nights on the town :D Another thing I have to hope for, is eVGA lets me get this 'Step Up' in and lets me Step Up to the Ultra. Ill find that out soon though when I go to ship it.

To the Topic Creator, I wouldnt worry about DDR3, specially since their no baords till RD790 that can use for AMD. You could get some 2x2gb DDR2-1000 for the price of DDR3.

Its a PC Hardware Forum, what do you want people to talk about? Its a community, some of us like to talk about whats our future plans. Who cares what parts they like. When you dont like people talking about it, its cause theyre jealous. I rarely see people brag in here. I mainly see people asking for help and people talkinga bout future-upgrades.
