Dead or Stuck Pixel? help!

So i bought a new asus vw266h 26 inch lcd monitor a couple days ago, and i just noticed a pixel on the right side of the screen is permanently colored dark red. it is most obvious against light/white backgrounds, but i can sometimes see it against darker backgrounds as well. is it stuck, or dead? and how do i get rid of it?

I got that problem with my tv, turned it off, let it cool turned it on again and it was gone
