Im amazed that companies can send out monitors with dead pixels in todays world. Are you telling me they dont even turn on the screen to see if theres dead pixels?or test them before they ship?Monitors are not cheap and when we spend x amount of dollars for a good gaming monitor,i should NOT be worried that my new monitor might have dead pixels.I should never have to pay 200$+ for a monitor and cross my fingers that it should work properly...Also i love New Eggs policy"8 dead pixels"..WTF u serious?I cant get a refund unless it has over 8 dead pixels!!!..There is no excuse for todays technology and manufacturers to send out these monitors like that..TURN them on and test them before you sell them....we should NOT have to accept the fact that our new monitors may ship with dead pixels!!

Ahh, stop I know they suck, luckily I've never had any with my like gillion monitors. Ok enough teasing. Go to the manufacture, they might have a 0 dead pixel policy.

I'd never really thought about it, but yeah, I'd be miffed if I received a monitor with 7 dead pixels at full price. Maybe the manufacturers flog off all the dodgy monitors cheap to budget retailers and discount stores.

Lol, I had 3 dead pixels in my old monitor. The cool part was that the shiniest one was very close to the spot where you get a crosshair in most games, so it helped me to beat Crysis on Delta! :P

Yep, this policy totally sucks. I'm lucky I never got a bad monitor.

I've been lucky as well with monitors. No dead pixels on monitors or laptops. I have had a couple of LCD projectors with bad pixels, but that was years ago.

I always try them out in the shop. I once came across a monitor with one dead pixel and I wouldn't buy it.

And to the OP, if the manufacturers threw out every LCD screen with one or more dead pixels, they would have to sell them for much more. So don't be stupid, be a smartie, check out for dead pixels at a store before you party.

Say if i were to buy one at a store, they wouldnt give me the monitor sitting out in display. They would give me a boxed one. So,should i rip through all the cardboard, ask for a PC and set up my display int he store?..Dont think so,i would have to drive an our back from the mall, and like i said, keep my fingers crossed when i get home, that theres no dead pixels...And for that moronic statement about monitors being so cheap is because some ship with dead pixels??..Thats moronic.Their that cheap because the market is huge, not because some ship with dead pixels.
