Dead Rising 2 Help

Hey, just recently purchased DR2 and lovin it. Only problem though is my xbox/pc controller wont work for it. Anybody experiencing the same problem? I looked around and people are complaning about the wireless xbox controller, but I have a wired one and it still doesnt get recognized ingame.

I have my wired xbox 360 controller working fine with DR2... I have a boxed copy of the game not steam. Maybe your controllers screwed?

I have the Gamestop brand Wired Controller, any idea how I can get updates for it? I dont see any on the box...
