The word on the street is that the controls are pretty screwy.

Maybe I should wait and watch the PC review before I go out and buy it for the PC.
PC Zone mag reviewed Dead Space this month and said the mouse/keyboard controls were unresponsive and slow. They still gave the game a great score (high 80's from memory) but advised the use of a 360 controller.furry33They gave it 81%. I'll wait for more reviews.

That really sucks. That's why i have a PCWii combo. I don't like using traditional game controllers. I'll wait for more reviews especially from GS and IGN (pc versions of course).

Don't hold your breath on the PC dead space review from gamespot. I doupt there will even be one, if there is, it'll be in a month or something. As far as their concerned now, they reviewed the console versions so thats the game reviewed and done with. Sucks doesn't it.
IGN though, I expect they'll get a review up within a few days time. Released Monday isn't it?

"Ships" Monday. In-stores the next day.
Demos are definitely a thing of the past, it's a pity cos most people want to see how it runs before they buy, another excuse for pirates.couly
Only problem is even though they did release a demo for Crysis, the game was still majorly pirated. Funny thing is I don't know anyone who actually pirated it. Of course maybe it's because most of the people I know don't know how to pirate anyway.
I dont care about demos anymore. Last week I downloaded a demo for the new Bond game...it was like 1.5gb and took something around 5 minutes to complete! Sidenote the game sucks.rzepak
What did you expect? lol

I think the cut scenes, and uninteruptable advertisments were longer than the game. lol.

Just don't wait for Gamespot's PC review, cause that probably isn't coming.

since when?
Since Dead Space.
Since Red Alert 3.
Since Fallout 3.
Since Crysis Warhead.
Since The Witcher.
Since Call of Duty: World at War.

Kudos to Valve for giving us the rare option to play a game before we buy it with Left 4 Dead, even if it was only for a limited time. Demos just seem rare to find anymore. And it's a sad thing, as all the games I listed above are must-buys for anyone with a remotely decent gaming PC.
games are too big to download 'demos' nowadays. Look at GTA 4, its supposedly gonna take 18gbs so the demo will probably take at least 5nazaric
If you are on dial up. ;)
Anyways, I think a demo is common courtesy and should be expected, and it helps TREMENDOUSLY in the purchase decision making process.Â

You're right. I had no idea there was a demo released because there's been so little talk regarding it. Good catch there!Â

The only common problem with the controls is a bit of mouse lag with V-Sync turned on, if you turn of V-Sync in game it plays very well. (If you need V-Sync to prevent screen tearing like I do, force v-sync with your video card driver. I used the Nvidia control panel.[QUOTE="couly"]Demos are definitely a thing of the past, it's a pity cos most people want to see how it runs before they buy, another excuse for pirates.GPAddict
