Deathclaw Problem!

(New Vegas)

So i'm level 17-20 (around about that) AND i have Veronica with me, fully eqipped with Power Armor?

But i'm still getting whooped!

Should i not even bother till i get to lvl 30?

Would having the NCR Elite Ranger Armor help?

Me, Veronica and Rex took on 3 deathclaws, we took out one then they both got knocked out, i manged to take out the 2nd one with my ballistic fist, then got the third one down to a quarter health before getting PWND!

well...I'm not the melee kinda guy, so my stratgey will be long range fire, especially at the lvl20 range. Boone and Ed-E will be perfect fight buddies. how you actually do it depends on the surrounding terrians. the best way to do it is to pick a small mount far away from them, and weaken them first with missle weapons and when they all rush to you, just snap them from distance. by the time they actually get to you, they should be all half-dead or already dead.

max ur unarmed or melee (depends on what weapons are you going ) im level 12 with 90 melee and me + boone are taking 1 deathclaw easylity btw verinoica and rex are bugged companions , they dont level up with you and they are extremly weak , download companion fix mods at : http://www.newvegasnexus.com/ in vanila boone is prolly the best companion , that hunting rifle does SO MUCH damage ! -also you may want to get Perk every level mod and sprint level mod (with this mod you can kite enemie while boone shoots it or you can just place some mines and lure your enemy :) ! ) -if you play melee try trowing weapon patch , you can craft trowing weapons at campfire and you basicly combite trowing knifes with sprint and you can kite any melee mob to death , also sneak + trowing weapon to the head does a lot damage ! -get knock perk pack mod , it adds some need melee perks , one is rly great from lvl. 12 or something , gives all your attacks a chance to knockback your enemie and deathclaws are included !Farkeman

Or you can pick deathclaws off at a distance without needing to resort to mods to make it easier. May as well hit the "I win" button if you'd resort to that.

Im currenlty using Ed-E as a companion and I manage to take Death Claws only one at a time by using land mines. (cripple em, then pawn them). Im lvl 9 btw. Anyways how do I know when Ed-E levels up? Thanks.

I already have the companion fixes lol,

I have a sniper rifle as well but my guns skill is ass, my energy weapons is 65 though.

i went deep north, and got mobbed by 4 deathclaws, managed to take out two or three though.
