Push it higher. The Q6600 can hit 3GHz on stock air cooling. Any higher than 3GHz though and you should look into a good after market cooler.

mabey, my load temps are around 56 on a B3 stepping with default voltage and 2.8ghz and im not pushing it higher until i get my ultra 120 extreme.

do you know what stepping you have? B3 or G0?

also those temps seem abit high if you have any sort of aftermarket cooler.

mine is a b3 at 2.8, try just turning your vcore up abit if your temps can handle it.

so it is a G0, thats nice, you have alot of headroom, the max temp for the G0 is 72 degrees, so you have a way to go.

you should be able to get it to 2.8-3 on stock air without having to push the voltage to high.
