Decent Street racing game for PC

im looking for a good Game where you can tune your cars to insane proportions. it doesnt nessecarily have to be street racing. Just as long as the bad cars have the ability to beat good cars if time and effort are put into them. i was looking at GRID, and that looked great, just no tuning.

EDIT: something from within the last 4-5 years would be great. atleast the graphics of NFS:underground 2.

Indeed Grid is a good game but not quite a street racing game ( you can race in streets but there is no traffic or police like Need for speed series and the course is predifined). One thing about grid though is the difficulty curvr i really strange and even deep in the game you will find some races to easy and some almost impossible. BTW if you get Grid make sure you get a 360 controller or a steering wheel

Probably the Need For Speed games.

Most Wanted is my personal favorite.

i guess you are looking for a game that don't exist / hasn't been made yet.
