Which of these two upgrade wishlists would be the better to buy?

Seeing as one is 20 some odd dollars more, is it worht the extra $20?

http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16813130093

This is the 1st one which costs $370

The second one costs $390 and is as follows (I am still buying the Core 2 Duo 6420)

Any other suggestions would be welcome, thanks in advance

As a personal opinion, I've always found Asus and Corsair to be extremely reliable brands.  I'd tell you to go for the 2nd setup, if it weren't for the slower RAM speed.

The RAM is awful for that setup. You have to get at least 6400+ for what you are wanting. May be a bit more expensive though...

I would go for the 2nd suggestion hands down.

BTW - You do know that the mobo in the first is a micro mobo?

Actually, I would recommend neither of them. Both of those mobos are just plain sucky for OCing. If you aren't looking to OC, then its fine to go with the second setup.

I would suggest paying more for this instead:

Biostar TForce P965.
This is arguably the best budget board for Intel right now. A $105(or $90 if you count rebate) is getting you one super OCer, a stable as hell mobo and definitely very solid performance.

The RAM you chose, I would recommend this instead:

Its better than the Wintec or Corsair. Atleast this uses Hynix chips rather than the Wintec and Corsair using Elpida.

So your total cost would come up to $356, without rebates. Being at $356... you basically got yourself a much better setup than what you had listed. It costs a little more, but I can guarantee you that it is worth it.
