I got a hand-me-down Dell 2405 over the holidays. Would it be an upgrade over my LG in terms of gaming?

Yes games will probably look better, but your computer may struggle a little more with the higher resolution that comes with a bigger monitor.

You may have to turn the settings down on many games to get them to run smoothly again.
