in a shocking (/sarcasm) turn of event this past buisness quarter saw AMD strip nvidia of its graphics chip lead by a whole 5%. amd now operates in the number 2 position globably at 21% and intel has the massive 62% thanks to their dominion over integrated gpu's

sorry nvidia you lose this round.. again (as last year it was the same situation this time of the year)

Numbers are skewed from mobile and integrated graphics.

Most computer sales are for mobile and basic computers  and AMD has really bounced in these areas because from their APU's. But stating "despite gtx 700 series AMD holds the lead" discrete gaming cards is only a drop in the bucket when it comes to total munbers.

Oh great because what we need is a weaker Nvidia. No we don't, the fact that you're cheering for AMD like a fanboy is pretty pathetic.

Very misleading OP. Market share is only part of the picture. Last I checked, AMD lost $74 million while Nvidia earned $96 million in the same quarter.

It's not a proper ionusX thread without pronouncing Intel and/or nVidia dead in the water...

You know your CPU's are bad when the leader of your bandwagon is using the enemies product.

Disagrees with me = "dbag"
Agrees with me = "informative"

Sounds reasonable.  :P

Gamespot Computer Hardware forum in a nutshell..

That's good for them but we can't honestly say the multiple bundled video games didn't help...

i think everyone can agree AMD cpus are garbage and only bring down their reputation.  As for his GPU threads, I read up on most of them and find them interesting.

yeah their 8 cored cpu's are so terrible that when used correctly by games they outperform 3rd gen quad i7's  They are not bad, they get the job done, granted their single module"core" performance is no where near intel levels. And unless they use more then 4 cores intel and even their Phenom 2 quads out perform them.
