Deus Ex 3 or E.Y.E?

Hey guys, so I just can't decide wether I should buy E.Y.E now or save for Deus Ex 3. Its a hard choice because EYE looks really fun but it is said to be really hard and buggy. I played DX3 at a friends place and played for like 5 hours so I know what its like and was really enjoying it and the story and gameplay. Even though I think DX3 is epic I still have the thought of how much DX3 is compared to the $20 for EYE. Thanks!

Deus Ex, no contest. Also look into Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines if you want.

Deus Ex HR. Both are good games once you get into them but Deus Ex is by far teh better game, and its very similar to the fitst game too. I was sceptical about buying it but im glad i did.

well, if you look at every gameplay componant for itself, EYE is better in basicly anything except Stealth.

But maps, story, gameflow, and fun is way higher in Deus Ex 3. Eye IS worth it for 20 bucks in my mind, but it is not as interresting as Deus Ex 3.

I would say buy Deus Ex 3 now, and when the christmas sales comes, then buy EYE if you want to.

EYE looks like it has deeper gameplay in every regard, and waaay more individuality in terms of skillsets or.. does it use classes? I can't even tell.

But DE HR is a VERY solid overall package. I can't remember the last time I played through a single player game.. and then to want to play through it again right away. Well, it's very telling as to how good of a game it is. :D

You are comparing apples to oranges. Deus Ex 3 is a major blockbuster with a style similar to Bloodlines and Deus Ex while EYE is more of an ambitious project that is unlike any other first person RPG on the market. The better game design-wise and story-wise is Deus Ex but I had a lot more fun with EYE because of the unique nature.

Deus Ex HR for now. It's a very good game!

Having played both, they are kind of like a Mercedes(DXHR) vs a DeLorean(EYE).

One is solidly made and overall great fun from classic high budget design.

The other is a bit clunky but very cool and has a supreme design or uniqueness that just simply can not be quantified.

Both I highly recommend.

Well, i feel Dues ex is the more polished game, i feel the atmosphere for E.Y.E. is actually better.

I also think the E.Y.E. combat is better than Dues Ex, but the story and characters are great for Dues Ex, and the voice actors are great, so i really have to give it to Dues Ex for narrative.

There's no question, Deus Ex.

Deus ex 3. E.Y.E. needs a lot of patching from what I have ehard where with deus Ex 3 you get a quality game all around.

E.Y.E. is a much deeper game and has all the trappings to be better, but it's also kinda broken. Until it gets some good patching done, I can't fully suggest it over Deus Ex.

Deus Ex = 9 or 9.5/10 for me

EYE = 8/10 for me

EYE is deeper but thats about it, everything else goes to DE HR imo
