Article.

According to the HR dev, the Pc version is the one that looks best, and the one he reccomends playing. It has several improvements upon the console version:

According to the dev, the PC version is running on DX 11 which improves better Ambient Occulsion, improved blur and depth of field.

You can also use AMD's Eyefinity for multiple monitors, and 3DHD.

Keyboard and mouse controls can be changed to suit your gaming habits.

The dev states that his favorite feature on the PC version is the ability to extend the view with Eyefinity.

He also said that the user interface is tailored for the keyboard and mouse, and will provide more speed compared to a gamepad.

So what do you guys think ? Is Human Revolution going to live up to it's predecessor?

Because every Deus Ex fan knows there has only been one predecessor to Human Revolution. Right?

Honestly I have found the demo more enjoyable using my Xbox controller than the keyboard+mouse

I'm going to say GOTY PC as well. I predict it will be better than the original Deus Ex. At least in my eyes.

Eh. Run-of-the-mill PC version benefits. Nothing new there. I'll skip on the 3D. Not sure how it'll live up to its predecessor. I expect it to be much better than Invisible War, but I'm not sure if the original's charm can really be topped.

As much as I love Deus Ex, it most certainly can be topped. Just don't know why hasn't anyone done it yet. :P

OMG Just think about it! These are the same developers that will bring us Thief 4.

Oh please let this be a commercial success.

Thief 4 should get the same revival treatment, be as close to the original formula as possible with added flash and some streamlining.

Thief is one of my favorite series of all-time. I hope they garner as much success as possible with Deus Ex HR and repeat that with Thief 4.

actually it is. Many developers this gen has treated the PC ver of games as simple console ports with little to no changes being done to take advantage of the PC's hardware. So informing PC gamers that they aren't getting shafted is very good news

I'm not surprised with Deus Ex HR (PC version). It wouldn't be smart of them to screw up a highly anticipated successor to Deus Ex. Even a crappy PC port these days will look much better than its console counterpart. Other things like anti-aliasing, widescreen support, controls, etc etc is a whole 'nother story though.

Hm.. I'll probably turn off motion blur and DoF, and I don't have three monitors to use for Eyefinity. I'm sure it'll still be the better version, but I don't see those as compelling reasons to play the PC version.

Like Elann2008 said, even the crappiest of ports, GTA4, Saints Row 2, maybe Homefront? look better than their console version.

my hope that this is true is constantly battling against my belief that Deus Ex is the greatest game ever created, and can't be beat

Course'. It's a Deus Ex game. Also, the TV commercial was absolutely grand. I'm starting to legitimately anticipate it, STRANGE.

Honestly when you consider the game came out 11 years ago, I really don't think so. It was just far too progressive for that era, and this school of game design is only just starting to emerge again (DE:HR, Bioshock, Infinity, Prey 2, Dishonoured, EYE, STALKER, even Crysis to a degree). Not to say HR wont be a downright fantastic prequel and amazing or (hopefully positively) influential game in its own right.
