Well if you go to a place like EB you can put down just $5. It's what I did. Then you can pay it off between now and release if you know you'll have the money.

Well then. If that's true, I'll probably get the physical copy anyway. Prefer physical copies if I can just enter the CD-key into Steam.

That's my preference to. I like to have the auto patching ability of Steam but I also like to have my physicial collection I can show off to friends.

Yeah. Makes me sad that more games don't use Steam. Wish I could just buy any game, enter the CD key and have it show up in Steam. But then again, almost all of my Steam games are from sales.

A good chunk of mine are to. But once in a while you find a good deal at retail. I picked up new vegas yesterday for $30 and my buddy picked up Metro 2033 for $1 at his local Walmart.
Yeah.. I'll wait til its on D2D so I can get it for less. And if it's a Steamworks title, it's a no-brainer.

Wow. Those are both really good deals. I got Metro for $5 during a Steam sale and bought the $70 collector's edition of New Vegas on release day at Gamestop(I couldn't resist it. I have a problem with LEs)
