And these retail based pre-order tactics are annoying, still looking forward to this game, looks fantastic.

Fat chance. 95% of devs only care about doing the least amount of work for the most money and dumbing down their game enough to reach the largest target audience.

This game will probably flop. If it doesn't then I will be pleasantly surprised, but I won't get my hopes up. Any time a game goes multiplat the potential of the game is severely restricted.

I really hope this game comes out a winner.

The teaser trailer for the game and the first articles about it surfaced in November 2007. They had more than enough time to work on it.

The exclusive character is not JC, it's Tong.

And don't blame the devs for pre-order items, blame the retailers... As CDPR put it regarding The Witcher 2's items, they have to give the retailers something special in order to stock and promote their game.

Knowing Squeenix, everything will be available as DLC later. Some of Just Cause 2's DLC was free...
