Of course it is, its still one of the most addictively fun games I have ever played.. Play on B.net.. Supposedly they recently restarted the ladder (or they are about to).. So every one will be starting from scratch.i deleted my diablo 2 character ages ago. I would suggest trying to find a Battle Chest version (physical copy) rather than getting the digital copies because you are paying 20.00 a pop for each for the digital and could probably find the Battle Chest for the price of one of the downloadsi deleted my diablo 2 character ages ago. Diablo 2 is hailed as the best action RPG for a reason. I would gladly drop $40 to play the whole game again for the first time. It has the mechanic that keeps you coming back and still being interesting. My only suggestion is find a good group online, Blizzards community is known for the immaturity it has and a good group of friends can make that nonexistant saving yourself the headache of 12 year olds.
The community has kinda gone to crap. I came back to d2 a while ago after a few years and there only seem to be the worse kind of people left. I agree with the guy above me about the 12 year olds, but watch out for the neo nazi rednecks too.
A new patch is coming soonMonsieurX
As far as i can tell no, the game refuses to run on most modern systems and getting help to fix any error you may encounter is next to impposible. Blizz have provided a lackluster excuse to disregard the errors as the CD being scratched when clearly it is not. Re Releasing the game is a bit of an insult i have 2 copies of the game currently and neither work so how about they get there act together and fix those 1st. Windows XP and Vista both have a wide variety of conflicts with the game, not only that even your DVD drive may cause installation errors. Now they are re selling it PRATS!

Huh? they are releasing a patch, they aren't re-releasing the game :| also what problems did you have, it runs fine for everyone on Vista, not to mention XP, so chances are that you do have disk or drive problems which Blizz isn't to blame for. Just register your key and download a digital copy from the Blizz store.Diablo 2 is as awesome as its always been, Online that it... alot of the bas*ards has moved on, leaving a pretty dedicated very friendly group (atleast in the area Im in). So yeah its worth it ^^
Diablo II is always worth it. Nothing beats D2 + Battle.Net + Pepsi + 2 A.M.HOMIE_G64
It is definitley worth another go. When the new patch comes out, I'll be there again. 8)

Pretty much the same....? Trading doesn't really change how the game works, it's a feature that is there, it's not something that improves the game a lot. If you play for fun and not for "epic loot" or w/e it's highly irrelevant to say the least.Pretty much the same....? It DOES improve the game a lot.
At least, it used to.
Of course if you're not interested it's meaningless, but a lot of people back in the days only played for trading and getting better gear.

Items that are nealry impossible to get by your self.. Furthermore the game is made tougher, and its far more competitive.. Yeah the game is completely different online, its like playing a fighting game with some one else instead of by your self.. Its FAR far better, and its how the game was ment to play.. Furthermore stuff like Hardcore mode online is fun and challenging as well as well as a ladder in trying to become the best..Please Log In to post.
