I'm thinking about a sorc a necro and a barb. What do you thik? Oh and a druid.

Frozen orb sorc if you just want an easy build to play.Ant0n89This, but If you play alone dont even try hell difficultie.
There are tons of builds, Orb sorceres, firesorc, windbarb, hammerdin, these are the builds that you can have fun, I dont like necro its just boring having 3 doxen skeletons, golems following you arround.

For starters the best option is physimancer (Necromancer based on skeletons with physical damage).- Reason is: that build doesn't relly on items and can be used to find the gear to new builds. At the beguinning can be a bit in trouble vs boses, but once you reach level 24+ is a walk in the park until the latest levels in Act V Hell.
I never asked if I should play a paladin. I said sorc or necro.[QUOTE="True_Sounds"]
Hammerdin FTW

Well I can say is my friend got killed by Diablo as a necro on hardcore mode, in a single lightning blast. So I'm biased against necros. A good Sorc build can solo most Bosses in hell difficulty with cheap set gear and cheap runes, which is why it makes a good beginner bot.
Than go with sorc, arguably the best beginner class that doesn't need much gear for normal and nightmare. Frozen orb is probably the easiest build, but chain lightning and hydra builds are also good. If you go with necro, don't put too much points in skeletons, bosses will wipe them out fairly quickly and without dead bodies around you wont be able to get them back up, making them useless.Ant0n89Can you give me a link to some sorc builds? I'm having a hard time finding some.
Summoning Necro. You can take on everything, on any difficulty, and it's so much fun to have a rampaging army of undead at your disposal. It's slower than all the other classes though, but once you get Corpse Explosion things start to pick up. He can tackle every immunity and still beat them, whether it's physical, magic, or all of the above.
The bosses take a little longer than other classes, but it's certainly do-able. Once you get some decent skillpoints into your skellies, you won't have to gate out to get more so often. However, you must locate gear that boosts your summoning skills.
What? A summoning Necro build? It's pretty self-explanatory. Max all skeleton skills and put one point in Amplify Dmg, Decrepify, and Corpse Explosion. Couldn't be easier. This will be my first main. Don't forget to put a bunch of points in Summon Resist either.[QUOTE="MythPro1"][QUOTE="RVD92"]
PLEASE INCLUDE A LINK TO THE BUILD!

Elaborating more about the physimancer necro, one of the reasons to choose him above the sorc is that sorcs suffers a lot in hell with the multi-inmunities against elemental damage present in so many creatures. Physimancer army can deal with any kind of enemies due with the propper curse (amplify damage) no foe in the game is immune to physical damage.

Actually there are a few that are immune to physical damage(specifically wraiths in act 2 hell) and there are also some unique monsters that can be immune to physical and/or stone skin which really screws over physical damage based classes. This usually why you'll want a few points(4-5 tops) in corpse explosion or invest some points in skeleton mage which also deals nicely with physical immunities. If you want a sorc you can go for a frozen orb build(max ice bolt and frozen orb with 1 point in teleport, put about 4-5 points in cold mastery and distribute the rest however you want). Generally unless you want to build your character for pvp make sure to specify pvm in your google search because most people play for pvp nowadays. A good site to check out if you want info on Diablo 2 in d2jsp.org Ignore the trading forums and just go to the pvm forums(found under discussion&guides). You'll also find a few guides for builds on classes but ignore the gear builds since most of them assume that you can either trade for the items you need or that you already have them.Elaborating more about the physimancer necro, one of the reasons to choose him above the sorc is that sorcs suffers a lot in hell with the multi-inmunities against elemental damage present in so many creatures. Amplify damage and Decrepify remove the Immune to Physical properties on mobs, so there is no need but to invest the bare minimum into corpse explosion. Sorcs are pretty fun. Blizz sorc with a merc to handle magic immunes.
Summon necs with poison nova are also pretty fun.
Barbs are neat as well but only with Engima armour for teleporting (though I suppose you can just use leap).
Take your pick, they are each fun in their own right.
Paladin.
Smiter, Hammerdin (Lol OP and unstoppable), Zealot (Not great a class honestly.. but TONS of fun), Charger, man there's so many fun playstyles for Pally.
Course there's a ton on other classes, but pally always my fav.
Next to that would be summoner necro, or posion nec.

Paladins are my favourites, but as I said I wouldn't recomend any of those characters/builds to a starter player.Mind it: any of those are heavily dependant on they gear -except the Hammerdin, but Hammerdins are problematic in Hell against mobs with a mana burn boss -Hammerdins also don't drain life so must rely on pots to survive, which tends to be dangerous when they are surrounded by minions with mana burn attacks, and even more if those are from ranged attacks.
The thing is: build a Sorc and you will face problems in Hell with elemental-inmune creatures; you can deal with that using mercs or backup skills but will still be hard until you get some expensive gear as the Infinity runeword -ladder only- for your pole merc. Build a melee based character and you will suffer due the lack of high-end weapons for a long, long time. So, until you get some awesome gear the easier, safest way to do magic finding runs for a starter player in area 85 levels -the best ones for mf- is to build a Physimancer and use that as your main character untit He gets the items for other viable builds. The other great alternative is playing coop with a friend or two using each one a different heavily sinergized elemental damage dealer, as Frozen Orb Sorc + Lightning Trapsin + Fire Druid or so.
If you like a casters you may be interested in :
Poisonmancer
Elemental Druid
Both are great fun and very viable in hell mode.
