You should go over to the official Diablo 3 forums, there are so many complaints about the game. Truly what happened was the best developers left to form other studios like Arena Net who created Guild Wars and Riot Games who created League of Legends. With the cream of the crop gone you got a game that can't truly match Diablo 2's greatness.

I feel bad for all the people that are so indoctrinated into blizzard culture that they would continue to play such a poor quality game.L0makYour life is meaningless if you really feel something about people enjoying various games. Diablo 3 is an outstanding game with only one single problem that will probably not get fixed till an expansion, loot is not rewarding, the rest is the same as the other game praised by drama queens, fan wannabees and trolls only better, Diablo 2. If naming them isn't enough just look at this random dude having a complete breakdown over a feature that works "identically" to the player X function from Diablo 1 and 2 and how it suddenly sucks in 3.

Pretty sure he was talking about OP. Which, yes, kinda silly to be so upset about a feature that is identical to a feature in D2, and is also totally optional, and only there for people who want to fight bosses with more HP, for a slightly increased MF.
Diablo 3 has its flaws, but I wasn't expecting anything spectacular.. People seem not to realize how poor Diablo 2 was at release with numerous problems and unrewarding loot drops.. It really took a expansion and numerous patches to become the amazing game it became imo... Even then I spent 100 hours on the game before I called it quits.. I am sure I will come back to it a few years down the line when huge changes have occured.. sSubZerOo
Totally agreed. Diablo 2 had the same problems at launch. I played it day 1. It didn't become the standard setting ARPG that everyone knows now, until after the expansion, and at least half a dozen patches after that. The expansion pretty much increased the number and variety of unique items like tenfold. And added the runes, which was awesome. I really hope a D3 expansion adds something like that. Just something else to do with socketed items, besides the, currently, lackluster gems. Anyway, D3 is already coming along nicely, after the more recent patches. I just started playing again a few days ago, after taking a couple months off. I'm back into it. Finally finished Inferno. Gonna start searching for the keys, to unlock some uber bosses.
Ahh, the gentle sound of the Blizzard apologist. Such sweet, sweet music, indeed.
It's now okay for companies to release half-assed games but, who knows, maybe they'll fix their BS with a $40+ expansion. Gamers these days are such tools.

If Diablo 3 becomes anything like Diablo 2 later on I am fine with that... Especially when I was able to play some 120 hours from it, I felt like I got my money's worth from it.. Where did I say it was ok that this happened? No where.. It was a disappointment, that one can only hope becomes the game that I sink hundreds of hours in.. Even in its current state like I said I got my money's worth from it..

I doubt you even play games these days, not to mention this particular game or any games from this company, thanks for letting us know once again that you don't really know about anything related to yet another game. My only concern is for your mental health tho, you post so much about things you hate and don't care about (for years, repeating the same uneducated, baseless things over and over again), that's not normal, you should see a doctor.
While I agree that Diablo 3, in its original state, was extremely underwhelming, especially considering the hype, it was still totally worth the price. Its got more than enough content to take up plenty of time (assuming, of course, you weren't expecting anything other than a relatively short campaign, repeated on 4 difficulty levels). Pretty much everyone I know who got the game has since stopped playing it, after deciding it got super boring, but they all (like myself) logged at least 70-80 hours before giving up. Most $60 games these days couldn't keep someone playing for that long, even if they loved it.

I believe most of the high end talent went to Runic (Flagship at first) which make Torchlight. But I also know that Arenanet has some. First time I have heard of LoL devs having some.
Diablo III is a fantastic game in many ways, but unfortunately made some serious mistakes. It has fixed some, but seemingly not enough.

This. I played it for almost 250 hours and enjoyed (almost) every minute of it. BUT I was hoping it would achieve thousands of hours like DII :P.
Nice avatar by the way ;)

Wait a few months and you're gonna get that itch to go back, especially after PvP gets introduced at some point in our lifetime (hopefully... :P).

yeah, I wouldn't even be able to guess how many hours I've logged into Diablo 2 in the last 12 years. I'd be shocked if it was any less than 1500-2000 hours. Probably closer to 5000.
Also, yes. Great show. Great episode, in particular. "You obviously haven't seen my movie, 'Terms of Enrampagement'".

I just got that itch a couple days ago. Been slightly getting back into it. Played more in the last 3 days than in the last 2 months before that. Definitely looking forward to PVP.

I went on the AH to check the price of gems and looked at some armor as well. Hol-y-f*ck. Prices on gear bombed and bombed hard! Good starting legendaries are piss-cheap now. I bought a few just to see what their proc/effects do or look like, and to see what the weapon looks like.

Aww, did the wee baby Daniel get its feelings hurt? Did the big, bad man criticize of your golden god? Do you need a hug Champ? Maybe I can release an expansion pack that will make you like me?
And, please, by all means, define exactly what these "uneducated, baseless things" I've been saying are. I'm guessing they're just more of your idiotic ad hominem attacks but I can hardly wait for your blathering response. Unintentional comedy is always some the best and, Skippy, you provide it in spades! You're like the Mega Shark Vs. Giant Octopus of posters.
It is a good thing you'll have to type your rabid, rambling, retort too, because I doubt I'd be able to understand you with your mouth so full of Blizzard's nonsense. I may disagree with others on this forum but you are one of the most mindless fanatics around here and, considering where we're at, that's really saying something.

Why shouldn't he? If Daniel's response basically boils down to calling Wildflower mentally unstable, why should Wildflower even give Daniel the time of day? Honestly, it's best just to troll the trolls if you're not going to ignore them.

Daniel's response to him was childish, sure, but Wildflowers initial comment was nothing but flaming people for enjoying a game he doesn't like, and then acting all high and f***ing mighty about having a better taste in games, and how "Gamers these days are such tools". Why would Wildflower even post in this thread though? There's not a single reason for him to.I never bought the whole "D2 was bad at launch too" excuse. Shouldn't devs learn from past mistakes so they don't repeat it?ssvegeta555
it's not that it was bad. And D3 isn't bad, either. It's that people constantly compare the two, and even say that D2 was better at launch. But, the vast majority of what made D2 great (particularly in the endgame) wasn't there until after dozens of patches, and the expansion. D3 does a lot of things differently, and it's no surprise that it's not as chock-full of content right off the bat, as D2 was after 3-4 years of patching.

They're both Diablo games, so naturally people will compare the two. It's sort of assumed that when a company makes a game, and then makes another, the following game will contain some or most of the positives it brought with it. Diablo 3 brought almost NOTHING from Diablo 2. At launch it was missing PvP, skill trees, an increase in itemization from LoD...etc. The community was vocal about the changes and development, but I feel as though Blizzard completely ignored their fanbase. I think it's perfectly reasonable, given the time D3 was in development, that the community expected it to have these features already implemented.[QUOTE="the_bi99man"][QUOTE="ssvegeta555"]I never bought the whole "D2 was bad at launch too" excuse. It's not like that's something that's going to be patched in, like it was "missing" to begin with. And they're actually totally listening to the fanbase. Since launch, every new patch has gone towards fixing the itemization and endgame problems, and it's quite a bit better, already. And PVP is coming. They didn't include it at launch because it's a very different approach to PVP than (I think) any ARPG has done before, and it was taking a while to finish. They didn't want to delay the whole game another year, when the rest of it was pretty much ready to go, and people had already been waiting years and years.
