No one really knows how long they've been working on this though - at least unlike DNF and Alan Wake - they actually have gameplay videos up. Thats pretty impressive.
If we are lucky, the game will come out tomorrow, but thats impossible, so I estimate around 2 years or so... enough time to play trough Diablo 1 and 2 a couple of times...

Well it's being released after SC2. And where the hell is SC2. Still no release date on that. I'm guessing one year minimum for D3, and worst case scenario 2-3 years.
If you know how Blizzard works you know they take their sweet time with each game. I wouldn't be surprised if they announced it would be coming out by end of 2009 only to be delayed a couple times until 2011. At least we will get Star Craft 2 next year, hopefully.

this is a valid point.
they (activision-blizzard) stated that diablo 3 was gonna come out after the first installment of starcraft 2...
atleast i think thats how they worded it, so if it does come out in 2009, i think it will be late 2009,
but 2010-2011 is pushing it too far... and activision-blizzard realize this.
