Right now, all these minor questions and answers from Bashiok has gotten me a lot more interested in the development on Diablo III. I've read alot about the gameplay, and character; etc. Also, the ever-so growing talk of Starcraft 2, is quite amazing. Both are great games, but ... since I don't know how to make a poll, i'll just ask my question here. Which game will you pay and play for first, Diablo III or Starcraft 2? For some magical reason, it came out on the same day and you only have 65.99 dollars in hand. It's just too exciting and good in my eyes.
I have to say this is a very very hard choice to make. Both games are Great. But....I am going with Starcraft 2 first. Starcraft 2 is the type of game where you will never get bored of. There are unlimited things you can do, custom maps that vary from a great range, ladder games etc. Graphics are very nice too. Plus Starcraft Broodwar is still popular these days so.........its really up to you.
Thats a tough one. Both games are most likely going to be amazing but if I had to choose, I would have to go with Starcraft 2. I've started playing the original again, and it's getting me extremely excited for the sequel.

Wait, I am not sure I understand what you are saying. Are you asking which we will buy first and play? Or are you saying Diablo 3 is pay to play (monthly fee)? If it is pay to play, then I will not be getting Diablo 3 even though I am super hyped to get it.
Not interested in Starcraft 2 in the slightest bit. I have never played a RTS, so there is no hype there for me. But I have been thinking of getting Red Alert 3 as my first RTS.
Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2! To GreatOutdoor : You may want to try out Starcraft 2 as your first RTS. It has a great campaign, one of the best there is. Dunno about RA3 coz I never played it. Age if Empires series are also considered classics, the latest would be Age of Empires 3.

It's not pay to play. Starcraft 2 Wings of Liverty or w/e it's name is, obviously (I'm more interested in the Protoss campaign but that's almost 3 years away:(), since it will take more than 1 year for Diablo 3 to be released, after they release Starcraft the first Starcraft 2, maybe even longer if they release it after all the Starcraft 2 games T_T.

I just watched this video of Starcraft 2 and it does look pretty sweet.
These two titles will be released quite a ways apart from one another. I'm guessing that Starcraft 2 will be released in December 2009, and that Diablo 3 will be released in the Spring of 2011. I don't see Diablo 3 being released anytime next year.
