Diablo III-MMORPG?

Let me start of by saying, Im not a Diablo fan. But I do love WoW. I did some research and I noticed that the past Diablos were just rpg. The way Diablo 3 is coming along, I WOULD LOVE IT TO BE A MMORPG. How about you? If you dont elaborate, what will kill the game for you and why? I would love it for it to be a MMORPG, how about you?

umm guildwars was made by a splinter of the diablo dev team. as for it as an MMO it would blow.. my reasoning.. it would be hailed as a WoW clone man.. simply them milking a formula.

No. More players at the same time won't make it better, they will ruin the game, it's not fun not having a clue what you're doing when you're casting huge spells, fighting lots and lots and lots of monsters with the usual boss monsters, lots of blood, etc at the same time with another 15+ players, I was actually glad they limited it compared to Diablo 2, it might have worked there, but by the looks of it, D3 would be perfect with just two or three extra players.

/agree games dot crowded in d2 and diablo 1 was good multiplayer wise but it became a broken game to fast.

We do not need another Blizzard MMO. They're already begin a monopoly, World of Diablo would just kill everything else. I mean, if Blizzard released World of Diablo, World of Starcraft(The game the causes Korea to explode), and *insert new MMO IP here*, they'd have total control over the MMO market.

world of diablo does sound sweet. They should make the graphics darker, gloomier, like God of War or Oblivion

Diablo is a party game. If you have an 8 player party with one of each class its perfectly balanced. Now imagine all 8 players being sorceres. Now imagine 16 players in D3 being sorceres...Now imagine 100000s of players being sorceres (got what I mean yet)?

The way D2 played out it might as well been an mmo. Its large community plus its large message boards made it easy to game with anyone you wanted. As for making D3 an offical mmo, i think it would ruin the gameplay. :/

I would hate it to be an MMO...

One of the keystones are the isolation of the world... some 15 mill people tend to ruin that feeling.

D2 was made with multi in mind, and it worked, it worked so well that I would like d3 to be similar, I liked the lobby, and the way you join in on a game and take off again within 20 mins. the social aspect of Wow does not allow that.

Also I think the pacing will take a beating if it were to be a mmo (mmos often gets quite slow from time to time) far easier to get some 8 people on the move, you can go through a chapter fairly fast.

DING DING DING! We have a winner. Although, I think it would be pretty sweet to see a Diablo III MMOG. I'd hope, however, it retained the dark atmosphere of the series.

Diablo is an Action rpg and id like to see it that way =) making it an mmorpg would make it a wow clone
