Components wise, I checked it out and i thought this was a good deal. I want a new pc soon, and with this stuff overclocked I think it will give great performance.

The 9650 is a waste of money-you can save $500 by getting the Q6600 which will easily clock to the same levels. Otherwise you have done OK!manic111

But yeah, if you could, get a cheap core 2 duo for now, then when the new penryn quads come out, buy one of those, it will save you over $500.

A quick run-through on the old Windows Calculator, and it seems you got jipped by about $1000 compared to Boxing Day prices.

When in Feb? I've been waiting and waiting for something new to come out and the Phenom was a dissapointment. I wanted to buy a new system between now and mid January, but if I only have to wait till Feb 1 for new cpus and gpus I'll wait. If its something where I have to wait till the end of Feb and then it gets delayed or is unavaliable till June I've wasted haf a year waiting.Maxpowers_32

Intel's mainstream 45nm Penryn CPU's will be out by February. A guy I know personally that works for BFG hinted at PDXLAN 10 during the BFG presentation that we will see a new card out by PDXLAN 11 that isn't a G92 card [February 2k8]

For 2700 thats a silly PC. Consider this, if you wait a little over a month, you will be able to spend 2700 to get a PC that performs nearly twice as well.

Seems worth waiting to me.
