What I thought would turn out to be pretty awesome.. Well.. I just purchased Company of Heroes..

I accidently canceled when it was "preparing list for steam licenses." Now I cannot find a way to download the game... I checked my account on steam.. and game library.. nothing.. What do I do?

Did the charges go through?

If you interrupted them while it was happening and nothing went through just grab them again

If they did go through you have a proof of transaction right there

Send an email or something to steam, we can't do much about that.

Prepare to not play the game for a few weeks. Steam support loves taking their sweet time, in my experience anyway.

That's what I'm afraid of. Just judging from the fact that I cannot just re-download the game already pisses me off. I'm glad it was only $2.50 or else I'd.... let's just leave it at that.

2.50!? Just buy it again. See if you can gift your other copy, maybe.

Have you tried closing Steam, then relogging in? I've found that sometimes things get messed up in Steam, because they update the program while you're logged in to it. Anyway, seems Steam is doing a lot of changes right now. Think they are moving servers to another building or something. Currently, the forums are shut down..... And Last night, no one could connect for about 40 minutes. at around 6:00pm central....

Why? Because a user error caused something to go wrong?

That's like saying you hate toasters because some people feel obligated to bathe with them

They responded quite quickly to my question once (idiots flagged my account for fraud when I tried buying something with PayPal), but I guess all you can do is hope that things get sorted out quickly. Hope for the best!

Obviously, it isn't about the money. It's the hassle. But I'll take your suggestion and gift it to a buddy of mine. I actually have someone in mind. Thanks! :)

Hmmm. I've tried that but to no avail. Perhaps something will show up or change. I might get lucky and it might appear in my games list. I dont know hehe. :)

Well, it's probably something simple like deleting a file, but Steam support would have to tell you which one..... or they would have to correct something on their end. On the upper right of the Steam program, your user name should be up there. Click on it and it should list all the game you bought and when... Check to see if the game is listed there. The date and price you paid will be in there, too. If it is on that list. I doubt you'll have any trouble with Steam support. Oh and you can also delete stored credit card numbers, from in there too.

Just a thought, but are you also certain that you don't have your games list set to show only the games you have installed?

If your payment went through you will have a transaction ref on your receipt. Just add that to your support ticket and they will add the game to your account if anything did go wrong.

I've had to do this loads in the past when Steam had big issues with Firefox. After going to PayPal it would never redirect back to Steam to complete so I had to contact support everytime. Glad they've caught up with the notion that people may use alternative browsers.

Just above the left side of the list of games there's an option that says "Show..." and the choices are All Games, Recently Played, Installed, and Favorites.

And I'm sure I don't like your way of typing.

OP: Contact steam support but, send them a mail and not a contact form, mailing them usually takes 1-8 hours before they respond while contact form can take a week, I can't remembe their exact email though.

Steam is one of the best digital download sites there is. I've got 3 pc's (desktop, 2 laptops) and I have purchased over 100 games throughout the years that I've used Steam. Never had any issues unless it was my mistake. Steam also makes it alot easier with having 3 comp's to have my games at my finger tips instead of hauling game disc's around with me.
